Ha. But seriously, what's wrong with being a radio host before running for office? Because he was more vocal about his opinions -- which obviously you don't agree with? If anything, they would be a more transparent official since pretty much all their beliefs are on record.
My estimation of Cruz just went wayyyyyy up. LOL Trumpers mad that Cruz refused to play "politics as usual." How ironic.
Still don't like Cruz. I have more respect for Kasich simply not saying ANYTHING. But I still haven't watched Cruz's speech, just have heard from several people/media that he didn't endorse Trump in his speech. I have total respect for Kasich for his position. I refuse to support a candidate JUST because he's a Republican and I lean Republican. That's what's gotten us such sh*$ty leaders to begin with. While I don't think Cruz should give a speech at the Convention saying this, I take no issue with Cruz not endorsing Trump either -- even if it means Republicans lose this election. Trump said very nasty things about most of the candidates. Candidates are people too. If someone insulted my family, there's no way in hell I'd vocally support them.
Omg this is hilarious... Spoiler for size. This is apparently the Trump reaction to Cruz's speech. Why the hell did I watch most of Day 1 and none of this epicness? Spoiler http://www.businessinsider.com/photo-trump-ted-cruz-speech-rnc-convention-2016-7
It's as if she had a coach before the speech saying, "Now remember, at the end of your speech, try to resist the temptation to do a Nazi salute. It'll feel a little awkward, but maybe just wave to the audience." Then she does the speech, throws the salute, and then thinks, "Crap! Remember your training!"
in what way is going to that convention 'running like hell'? they had to be escorted out by security while getting screamed at.
That's not how it was being reported live, but I wasn't watching the event itself. It was being reported that Trump indeed entered toward the end of the speech, and I did see footage of him during the boo fest, just smiling and clapping.
Cruz speech was a very conservative one..... The thing that pissed everyone off was the face he didn't support Trump... T_Man
That was one big setup.... Trump and his staff had Cruz speech ahead of time and they knew he was not going to support Trump... Trump made his grand entrance at that specific time, he knew exactly what he was doing.... T_Man
Why wouldn't it be a conservative one? I know why they booed him. Sorry, just not understanding your response. Fox/CNN (don't remember which I watched briefly yesterday) said that the Trump campaign hadn't seen Cruz' speech. However, that was at like 6:30 pm, well before he spoke. And who knows what they really did or didn't see. At the end of the day, anyone supporting Cruz is more than likely going to vote for Trump. They sure as hell won't vote for Hillary. So does it really hurt them that much? If anything, moderates will be more likely to vote for Trump than if Cruz HAD endorsed Trump because moderates and liberals can't stand Cruz.
The article and caption are correct. Trump came out during Cruz's speech and the family watched with anger. Trump Jr. had that sourpuss expression for the rest of the night.
Sorry I thought you were asking why they were upset... CNN reported last night and this morning that they had seen the speech.... Trump Jr. was interviewed today and he also stated that they saw the speech and they knew he was not going to endorse Trump. Cruz never stated he was going to endorse Trump and the Trump organization never made it a requirement for him to do so. T_Man
