Wasted a good hour looking for a grimer that was supposedly close by. They really need to fix that 3 step bug.
During the server crash yesterday somehow my account got deleted. I guess maybe because I kept trying to log in. Having to start over almost made me stop playing. But I was only level 9 and I learned the game and should be much better prepared this time and be able to level up and what not faster and be more efficient.
I just hit lvl 10 and am considering starting over after doing some reading. I haven't been using my resources efficiently.
Are Staryus good? I caught one the other day but it is one of the lowest CP monsters I have. I'm level 8.
I don't see the point in starting over as you would be getting rid of your resources and hurting your ability to get more with a lower level.
According to this chart, they are rare. Not sure if they're strong, though. https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/comments/4ta6tm/updated_rarity_chart/
They can evolve into Starmie which are powerful water types. I wouldn't keep the level 8 staryu though, there's plenty stronger and you're still leveling up
Does the game reset everything if you change your google account password? I had an email this morning that said there was suspiscious activity on my account and so I changed my password. When I logged back in to Pokemon Go just now, I have no pokemon and it looks like I'm back to level 1... This may be a blessing in disguise because if so I'm probably done with this game. Edit: looks like the servers are down. Hopefully that's all it was.
So, I spend yesterday stocking up on commons to have an evolve/level up session today with the lucky egg I've been hoarding. I have 27 evolves lined up. I crack my lucky egg, evolve 2, and servers crash. By the time my 30 minutes is up I have hit less than half of my target. This is probably going to be what makes me give up. Well, this and sometimes having to throw 5 poke balls to capture a Piddgey is so pointless.
