Sure...if you can come up with any evidence that Michelle was the first person to talk about those values (hint: those have been around for millennia, you won't be able to do it). I'd be willing to be that just about every politician in Washington has used those same words and themes at some point. As such, one could just as easily claim Michelle stole them from someone, too. Lol.
Genius. Say what you want about Trump, but I stand behind the fact that he is a Level 33 master troll. The only sad part is his blind followers that don't realize what is going on.
Part of me thinks the only way this could happen is if the speech writer was trying to tank the speech on purpose.

first of all Melania didn't do squat, she's too dumb to write or steal any of it, she just reads what they hand her second, as dumb as the entire Trump team is, that looks more like sabotage with how blatant it was and I have zero sympathy for them, as they are all awful people fwiw, Biden is also a noted plagiarist
There's video of her from before the speech saying she wrote it herself. So she's either a liar or a plagiarist. Meh.

What are the theories on this cluster****? 1. Trump is trolling the world. 2. A speechwriter went rogue and the campaign is too incompetent to notice. 3. Melania did write it herself, knows Donald is a disaster, and sabotaged him. 4. Everyone says what Michelle says and she probably plagiarized it from Bess Truman.

The Melania Trump speech itself is of little consequence-- nobody dies or gets hurt because of plagiarism. I suspect it's a part of why people are gleeful about it. Wouldn't be in the mood to joke if something serious harm actually came to people. What it does reflect, however, is lack of competence by the Trump campaign. And this isn't even the only poorly planned and poorly run aspect of the convention. It is reasonable for voters to question whether Trump and his team can run the country if they can't plan a convention.
