No more than most players look at there bombs. If anything it must have been Marwin jogging around the bases and taking his time. There was nothing wrong with What Marwin did after he hit it.

I would like to keep the pen the way it is as well... Problem is that the cost of starting pitching is extremely high. I know the Astros and Rays discussed Moore before the season and again early in the year. At least he has potential to be a #2 starter.

Yep, saw that, not sure why the pitcher would mouth off there.

Don't read too much into what you saw with Fiers after he got pulled and in the dugout, that's heat of the moment type stuff.

See this is why I don't think Hinch is all that. Why wasn't Feldman the one he went to instead of Feliz in the previous inning?

The solution is already on the team. Feldman can easily slide into the 5th starter spot. Fiers moves to long relief, or is cut in favor of Hoyt or Musgrove.

Moore. The guy behind him. Somebody else in SD's rotation. Yankees are selling. Several more teams will fall out of the race by the trade deadline, and the market for pitching will stabilize some.

This time last year, Fiers was on nobody's radar. While he's ultimately fizzled, he was a much needed contributor down the stretch.

Why should he have gone to Feldman there instead of Feliz?

Right. And if it was Feldman that gave up 3 runs, you would say why wasn't Feliz the one he went to.

If he did this would be a 1 run game instead of 3.

Fiers is unlikely to replicate much in long-relief over the guy(s) he's replacing. Hoyt/Musgrove aren't going to be called up to get semi-never work.

Its really Devenski vs. Feldman for the starting spot. Feliz has either a dead arm or his mechanics need some tweaking.

Feldman has grown into the long role real well. Feliz has been dominant for stretches this year but Feldman to me was the appropriate choice, if not him Devenski because of their long relief success like I expressed earlier.

I would agree Feldman or Devenski next time around. There's no telling how many different guys end up getting a start in that 5th slot before the end of the year. Could see Musgrove getting a shot too.
