Well this guy being dead is sort of a silver lining to this whole deal.

Seems the Cleveland police disagree with you and think banning open carry would be very helpful when dealing with potential incidents at crowded events.

Buck, I would encourage you to read the Federalist Papers. You need a lesson in history in order to understand how gun rights fit into the vision of our Founding Fathers. Power in the hands of the people is a central unifying theme of the Federalist Papers. True freedom is having checks and balances against governmental power. Gun ownership balances out power between people, the police, and the military. Governments all around the world have killed millions upon millions of people in the last century alone. Government's power must constantly be held in check, as the temptation from the beginning of time has been for government to increase its power and take away individual liberties. The NRA's good work protects your freedoms, even through you don't understand the bigger picture. As they state, they are freedom's safest place.

Call me naïve, but won't cops of all colors be more paranoid/edgier around blacks now?

Never fear. They will read the Federalist Papers and immediately feel safer.

Does this character post about basketball, or only D&D? I'd love to see some of this [premium] hilarity in the Dish/GARM.

Of course it would. Stripping the rights from the people make it a whole lot easier to control them. If you eliminate the right of people to gather in the streets and protest it would help too, if you stripped due process so that you could just jail whoever you want it would make it easier too.

Of course all of that is irrelevant.

He wasn't fully restrained. I have no clue what you think you saw.

The shooting in Minnesota by an officer? That looks like homicide.

Maybe his arm was freely moving?

Mistakenly thought he was making a move for it? How do you know he was or wasn't making a move for it?

Seems like a lot of assumptions not really based on any evidence.

And he doesn't support the BLM movement, like myself but this response of his above is rather dumb.

OK, can we at least talk about this without resorting to "confiscation" and other silly rhetoric?

Do you believe that the NRA lobby speaks for you, as an average American Second Amendment advocate?

Not unlike all blacks feeling more paranoid/edgier around cops after all the cops killing black people on video and not even getting a day in court . .. . . .

I'm not a member of the NRA and honestly I don't pay attention to the things they say. I'm not really big on special interest groups in general.

As to talking about the issue, are you suggesting that bans and "confiscation" aren't what some dream of?

Please post the French lorry murder stats vs US gun murder stats. Only ignorant dopes try to draw some equivalence where there is none.

Lol what else do you expect from a man who knowingly continues to have a sexual relationship with his cousin.

You continually misuse this phrase to the point of exasperation.

There exist several flaws in your thinking, but the most notable is the erroneous point that the policemen involved in fatal shootings of blacks (I'm assuming you do not care about the fatal shootings of non-blacks) not being adjudicated. This is false. So many of the officers DID have their day in court, and they were exonerated because the media's false narrative and selective editing of the videos were proven to be misleading and not a true depiction of the events that occurred. Multi-racial juries acquitted George Zimmerman, the officers in the Freddie Gray issue, the officers in the Eric Garner issue, the officers in the Michael Brown issue, and so many others. The facts did not line up with the BLM and media's false narrative. "Hands up don't shoot" never happened. That is now a proven fact, yet BLM still uses the chant and sign language. Logic and reason have left the building. The media is playing people for fools in order to whip up political excitement -- BLM needs to open their eyes to see how they are being used by politicians for votes and the media for ratings.

Good, I hate the NRA, and you should too, they make us all look bad.

OK, how about "limits"? Aren't there limits we can put on firearms and firearm ownership?

Well in 2014 there were 3,660 people killed in the US involving lorries and there weren't even half that many killed by all types of rifles combined even if you add up 2009-2013.

A terrorist recently used a lorry to kill 80 in France, and the last 2 terrorist attacks using "assault rifles" in the US has killed a combined 8 people.....and they were both trained former military.
