Is tonight's cwc gonna be a handful of matches to fit an hour block or is the whole first round going to be released at once? Who am I kidding, probably gonna watch and rewatch Finn-Nakamura before I even touch cwc. I'll need a cooldown to fully appreciate the cwc matches.
Yeah, they're stretching out to 10 weeks worth of content. That's a freaking lot!!! 2 1/2 more hrs till NXT Nak vs Finn!!!!
Glad they gave Nakamura/Balor 45+ mins. Def the best match Balor's had in NXT and it might even top Nakamura/Zayn. Submission stuff and counters were incredible. Ibushi was by far the most impressive of the 8 guys in last nights CWC. All the right guys won and everyone got the spots to showcase themselves.
Cwc for 10 weeks straight. Yep, this is the golden age of wrestling. Did anyone LOL at Ho Ho Lun? Yes, he sucks but you can't help for rooting for him. I love his goofy facial expressions, hahaha
Yeah I def feel he was added for the comedy aspect. I guess he opened the first wrestling school/promotion in Hong Kong, the guy from Chile who lost to Gran Metalik also did the same. Pretty impressive that WWE scouted all these people out. I expect lots of people in the tournament to recieve NXT tryouts
Apparently Ibushi and Cedric Alexander absolutely tore it down at the CWC tapings tonight. Being called a MOTY candidate and the best match ever at Full Sail.
They had those two wrestle in the second round? Bad booking. If they're going for an Ibushi/ZSJ final, they should have had Ibushi/Alexander in the semis.
Who says Alexander is worthy of reaching the semis with all the talent in the tournament? I don't really care when they fight but if it's being called a MOTY then it's not bad booking. Ibushi and Sabre should get the best opponents in every round. I'm not convinced they won't have one of them be upset along the way.
Everyone is cool with Spoilers? Or should we wait till the CWC 2nd round tapings hit the air? I'm joking. My mistake is going on twitter like a moron, reading up to it.
I'd like for taping results to be spoilered please. First round was great, I think I enjoyed it more than Balor/Nakamura, maybe for the freshness of all the moves. And Ibushi's last ride sitdown power bomb looked amazing, he kicked his legs out going down so it really looked like he was bombing the Samoan guy hard. I really enjoyed the Chilean guy, maybe because of his selling, and that apron shooting star press that came with an awesome sounding double call from Mauro and DB. And it looked like Gran Metalik (sp) finished with Omega's One Winged Angel which is awesome to see.
The guy from Chile was probably my fave of the first four eliminated. He looked all euro-Regal style and then he busted out that shooting star press out of nowhere
Because he delivered what's being called a MoTY candidate? Besides, it's not like talent has always determined who's at the top of the card. Cedric is a bigger "name" then a lot of, if not most, of the guys in the CWC to American audiences due to his time in RoH. He's a known entity and delivers quality work. The tournament should work like most tournaments, where the tension ramps up with each round as the "lesser" knowns/talents are weeded out until only the "elite" are left. I'm just saying that Cedric was worth being in the tournament until near the end. The match he and Ibushi apparently had seems to bear that out.
It's not really a spoiler when the bracket is out and both Kota and Cedric won their first round matches, no one has said who has won the match, just that it is a MOTY candidate.
Pretty much every one Ibushi will face will be elite talent. And given who's he's facing over the next few weeks they are every bit as good if not better than Alexander. Probably won't be the last MOTY match in talk from this stacked group of semis
