    For President of the United States, of course. I'm leaning towards Brigadier General Jack D. Ripper myself, but I'm not sure about his availability and would like some other suggestions.

    :grin: That's a real guy from Iowa. He was born with a deformity and was featured on Tosh O. He makes prank calls for a living? Something like that. I have no idea why this person is 'somewhat' famous. But he is.

    Unless your write-in candidate has filed with the state to become eligible to receive write-in votes, the bean counters will simply mark your choice as invalid. Of course, your write-in will be just as ineffective either way, but it feels especially pointless when you know the election officials don't even record the vote.

    Since there is such an apparently large swath of the electorate unhappy with either candidate, I think this is an excellent idea and heartily endorse the write-in vote movement.

    It will send a huge message to...whomever you wish to send a huge message.
