I'm stating that a head of state waging his finger at Islam is a bad idea. Yes, Muslims OUGHT to police their own. I'm taking about what WILL happen. Use some rational sense. You need to learn to differentiate between an 'ought' statement and a statement about reality. I never stated that Muslims shouldn't police their own.
I think it is worth noting that I am able to converse with people while being civil, focusing on their actual words and arguments, and not making negative (and erroneous) assumptions about them as people. That you aren't able to do so may be worth a moment of pause and introspection. And whether communities are interested in radical views or not is immaterial to me. I don't need people to agree with my views, but I am certain they would appreciate the solidarity and help in defending themselves against hate groups -- which was the point of the post I made and which you are responding to.
Don't worry. It just takes one good guy with an extra tank of diesel to stop one bad guy with an extra tank of diesel. No problem.

The car/truck vs semi automatic weapon comparison is such a good one. Why don't you post the stats on the deadly truck murder spree epidemic vs the semi automatic weapon murder spree epidemic. Let's compare.
This is all true... It is an ideology. It is like saying you are going to end racism by bombing the Hamptons... or end Communism by defeating North Korea. Religion and culture mixed with a feeling of being an outcast and exploited is a very difficult to separate mixture.

Ehh, it's almost Friday. Arguing all night about hypotheticals and exchanging informal fallacies is not my cup of tea tonight. (I haven't seen Clockwork Orange & looking forward to seeing it tonight) I'd rather leave it at subtle humorous jabs. We know on what sides of the spectrum we stand on concerning the hinted topic, either we can agree to disagree or maybe you can catch me on Monday.
This. The United States has foolishly decided to force Hussein out under a Republican President and support the overthrow of Assad in Syria. In both cases the countries were ruled by long term stable leaders. While neither were huge supporters of civil rights, they were a reflection of the history of the area they governed.
I really wish we'd find out this was all just an epic reveal about the next GTA location being Paris and that no one was really hurt.
Interesting you say that. This was for drawing a freaking cartoon, by the way. Did you just call yourself a terrorist?

I wish you were right, but you are not. Most of them are like Affleck. I am fine with defending Muslims, but they naively defend Islam. Anyone who uses the term "Islamophobia" does. This guy is right. I wonder what Imams are going to say about this in "Friday prayers" today. I mean, they managed to rile people up around the world and get them on the streets because of some cartoons. Do you think the same people will be on the streets similarly emotionally protesting these murders? Nope. And that tells you all you need to know about the connected tissue between the beliefs of so-called moderates and the violent extremists. FranchiseBlade still determining whether he was Armenian, Greek or Mormon from Utah.
very tough to defeat a death cult like Islam ignore them and you get 9/11 can't bomb them, they are too distributed, and living among us genuflection will get you nowhere, they still want to kill you only your submission/death will satisfy them
I hate to sound like a hippy, and I know it's naive thinking, but I really wish we lived in a world with peace and unity. We're all the same, but many fail to see this. With each attack and rampage and outburst, my heart sinks just a bit more. People suck.
Baboon is an odd man. He posts about his hatred and calls for the death of an old man for drawing a cartoon...except when he posts about the nameless elite allowing the USA to be exploited and rendering American citizens as clueless dupes. In reality he has very little real time spent in America and draws his opinions from marginalized militant sources and radical extremists .... Which is fine, because it allows him to passive aggressively deal with his insecurities and jealousies by arguing that the USA is falling apart.
