My point was clear. Worry about your own. The fact that he had to get crunk on the fanbase is embarrassing.

Mack wasn't even the driving force to hire Herman... It was Herman's buddy TF.

Mack is a solid AD...... Having to make the AD at Missouri the highest paid AD in the nation to take the BU job speaks to the current environment of the BU program.

The good part for BU fans is that money is still being put into the program.

Herman may well leave but it isn't going to be for BU... It would for a top job.

The only schools Herman should leave UH for is Ohio State, Bama, and UT.

Don't be ridiculous. There are plenty of other schools that Herman would leave for. But, I agree with others that Baylor would have to be far down the list at this point. Baylor will be fine once it cleans itself up. But, it still won't be a top tier football school. With continued success, Herman can go directly to a top 10 job.

Hey, I'm just looking forward to this upcoming season. I'm ready for some football.

UH is on it's way back to that level. We sit on the most fertile recruiting soil there is .....and Herman knows it. (and he knows what conference we're headed to)

    Dude's not going anywhere.

No offense, but you guys are setting yourselves up to have your hearts broken. You are so in love with your school and your coach, you can't see things as they really are.

Look, I hope Herman does stay. I hope I am wrong that he will leave in the next few years. I'm super impressed with the guy. It would be cool to see a coach say no thank you to a huge raise and try to build an empire down here in Houston.

Why are we talking about Baylor here? Did I go to the wrong thread or something?

UH fan got defensive when I mentioned Rhoades hired Herman in the Baylor thread. Baylor bashing proceeded to ensue. It's a touchy subject due to history.

There are a handful of jobs he would leave for most likely... but "a lot" as you put it? No, I highly doubt it. He is a very odd guy. You never know what anyone will do or what their motivation is exactly, but it would probably take an elite job to get him to move.

The city of Houston has changed and so has the UofH. New athletic and academic facilities, increased admission standards, more people living on campus, light rail. This new generation of alumni has stepped up (post 2006). The sky is the limit for us....and we're doing it without the PUF or Big12 money. we will be fine...

We'll make our own conference. With blackjack. And hookers. Louisville would probably join us.

No one knows what Big XII will do.

The PAC has shown some interest, but the ACC is most likely.

Honestly if they keep winning, with TF, the market and growing facilities; they will end up in a power conference.

I agree. UH building a new baseball stadium is a good step in the right direction. I don't see Herman waiting around but I don't think UH fans need to worry. Be like TCU when they were left out. Rally and it will happen

Hermann has a billionaire determined to keep him. If Houston makes the CFP, why would he leave for any other school? His team would have the easiest path to the playoff EVERY YEAR and they would keep getting top recruits. I can see UH increasing his salary $1-2 million if they make the playoff to keep Hermann. Plus, UH will get that conference invite from SOMEONE if that CFP birth happens.
