I really can't see why a coach like Doc, with an old core of players, would want to trade Griffin for future picks...
Either you're confusing Griffin for CP3, or you hate Westbrook and Paul so much that you want them on the same team so they kill each other.
Something built around: OKC Receives: Blake Griffin LAC Receives: Carmelo Anthony NYC Receives: Russell Westbrook Would be interesting
Why would the Knicks do that? Westbrook/D.Rose/Jennings They'd have 3 offensive minded PG's looking to score. Not smart
This is my favorite part of the article. LOL at the Celtics getting either Westbrook or Griffin without giving up at minimum either the 2018 Nets pick or the 2017 Nets pickswap. It might cost BOTH. I am not so sure Doc Rivers trades Griffin. But I think there is a very good chance Presti trades Westbrook.
Why don't we have good draft picks? We had rising stars and aging stars that walked for nothing. Might have been smart to do what Ainge did and trade them for picks. Every time I hear about those Brooklyn picks I wonder why our cupboard is bare.
The knicks aren't winning anything. Let's be clear about that up front. So, if Westbrook is offered, you're not going to say "yea, thanks Mr. Presti, we'd love to consider Russell, but i just landed Jennings for 1 year/$5Mil and Rose's expiring, so my hands are tied!"
