besides dekker's 25% 3pt shooting, the other big factor in him getting any rotation minutes will be his perimeter D. and so far he hasn't been able to stay in front of anyone.
Ding Ding Ding! 2 things Dekker is horrible at. Defense (Slow lateral quickness with or without the ball) - Defensive rotations are bad. 3 point shot he doesn't have. Just pray he gets to 30% because he isn't a shooter. I like the fact he's asserting himself to score & slash etc but he is playing against D-League & lower level talent. He was the 17th pick of the draft, he SHOULD be doing something. All this Dekker talk is nothing until he does it in a real NBA Game on a consistent basis. Lot of other players after him in that draft are rotation guys.
Not Rockets related, but I literally almost ran into Brandon Ingram in The Wynn about two hours ago. He had two guys with him, and I was in a hurry to get to the buffet, so I didn't say anything.
I'm leaving tomorrow morning. It's hot out here. Get to Red Rock Canyon if you have a chance. Cool escape from the city.
Nope, we only shot 27% from 3 for the season Our own website verifies it. http://www.nba.com/rockets/stats/team At what point where we 35%? A few games maybe? It's hard to admit, but we were downright terrible from 3 That's why we need to upgrade our shooting Clanking 3's will get us nowhere. Last year proved that
The Rockets shot 34.7% for the season from 3. They shot 26.8% on 3's in the playoff series against the Warriors. Your link is showing the latter for whatever reason.
That page shows we shot 27% against GSW in the playoffs. We shot 34.7% for the season. You posted a stat (27% 3's for the season), two people said it was off, and then instead of looking it up carefully you just looked at that one page and misread it again? Be better than that. Yes we did suck at 3 point shooting last year. We'll be better this year.
You're right! That'll teach me not to rely on our own Rockets website LOL You'd think if they were going to have incorrect stats that they'd at least make them look BETTER rather than worse than they really are http://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2016.html Makes me feel a little better, but we're still very average and 'middle of the pack' Thanks for the heads up
