I think the local gov't here blocked it. It would be blocked and unable to be operational on the phone even when downloaded. It's like the pr0n apps that are out there, I can install it, but it won't be operational when I open it. They're so fast, the gov't... I barely know what this game is, and it's already blocked? I'm intrigued, but I heard it drains your battery too.
is there any way for the app to give passive alerts so I don't have to hold my phone all the time? seems like every Android phone does not allow an "on all the time" mode
For those that want to catch a Blastoise, go to the Metro Eastwood Transit Center. I caught one on the bus yesterday going back home. I was literally contemplating to stay there when I saw that a Blastoise was near me .
You can choose up to 6 pokemon to battle with. You battle your pokemon against pokemon that were left there by whatever team controls the gym.
I've been told that downloading the google maps for your area will save data. Can anyone confirm this?

Does your phone provide data stats per app? Tell us what you have currently used on pokemon. Then download the maps and track data again.

So what's the hotbed of Pokémon for Houston? Discovery Green? Hermann Park? Memorial Park? Treasures?

What level is your trainer? I've not seen a 3rd level Pokemon in the wild yet. I caught an Ivysaur yesterday (I've seen several bulbasaurs, but not always able to track them down).
When your trainer level grows, so will be the type of differ Pokemon. I start seeing high level like CP200-300 Garados at level 9.
Just seeing this thread for the 1st time. I'm really fortunate to live near a park with 9 pokestops along a walking track, and there's constantly lures being used. Level 14, team Valor. What do yall have? My most powerful one is a 1018 Vaporeon. I also started a 2nd account to get Pikachu and then immediately got Squirtle and Bulbasaur after that. Still looking for that Charmander though
