Lin said Saturday he signed a three-year, $36 million contract with the Brooklyn Nets in free agency because he was given an opportunity that has been rare during his six-year NBA career: to quarterback a team as the starting point guard. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/16934325/jeremy-lin-brooklyn-nets-ready-embrace-challenge-being-starting-point-guard Lin will be the starting point guard
I wish the best for Jeremy Lin.. He's got to go on a shoot out with his buddy Steph Curry. They should meet up and train together. Lin's game needs great shooting to be able to better do all the other things that will make or break his game. And that's a fact.
Yeah, I think he know this. Whereas in previous offseasons where he mentioned his focus being defense, play off the ball, left hand plus shooting etc, this year he said his main focus is shooting. Putting up 700-1,000 shots per day. We'll see the results in a few month I guess.
Same as Linsanity? Same as Lakers Lin? Same as Roxkets Lin? Same as Hornets Lin? Because he seems to be perceived differently each stop
Obviously not Linsanity. That was simply a hot streak and Lakers Lin didn't have enough minutes on a consistent basis to use that as a barometer so that goes out the window too. Rockets/Hornets Lin is what I was referencing.
That's Parsons. The only star that signed as free agent in Memphis according to Parsons, but not according to Dirk in Dallas.
Not to mention LinMac's predictable responses, lack of ability to desxribe basketball, and willingness to bump this thread at every opportunity.
The main difference is that he has matured and learned. He makes fewer mistakes and plays more controlled now. And in Charlotte, he was one of the team's best defenders (and the Hornets were a very good defensive team). Beyond that, I agree...he's a guard who pushes the pace, gets to the paint, is great at PnR, and plays unselfish. He will always be that same player.
Thanks for bumping this thread on non basketball issues again. This thread isnt getting as much traction as the previous Lin threads. It must be killing you, given your lack of life otherwise and how you get scorned at every time you create a thread in the GARM on 90s rockets players.
I didn't see much live of Charlotte at all. Just maybe 5 games, highlights and obviously word of mouth. Seemed like he fit well there and it was a good situation for him. Can't begrudge him for taking the money though. I would have done the same as would almost anyone else. I don't think the Nets are a good situation though. Bad front office, terrible team and I think he is way better served coming off the bench. Guess we will see
