Is it just me or does there seem to be more people complaining about the complainers than the complainers?
Someone explain to me how is the letter an insult to the Warriors? Where in the letter does Harden says bad things about the Warriors? Why is ESPN making a big deal out of it and make stuff up? Why do morons get hired by ESPN?
The only open letter to the fans I want to see from Harden and the Rockets is the one telling us when/where the championship parade is.
As much as a I complain about Harden's defense, I think he will be able to pick it up. I'm sick of being a pessimistic Rockets fan. I want to be optimistic and hopefully we can build around Harden a little bit more and be a contender again. Glad he signed an extension and he will go down as one of the great players who played for the Houston Rockets.
Cool letter, but with all due respect.... Spoiler <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tiIPe9ow-BI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
heres a simple question if last season, harden and 1 of the other teams best player sat out, with the remaining players and coaching staff exactly the same, do you agree that the rockets are a bottom 3 team at best only ahead of the sixers and lakers? if you think they're better than bottom 3, tell me which teams they will have a better record against? eg: warriors without curry = still number 1 team in wins rockets without harden = bottom 3 team in wins
I dont buy this ****. He is the one who forced the greedy extension and we gave up the cap flexibility to make our "super-team".
Well Ariza shot 37% and Bev 40% from 3. But other guys were useless and we had no other creators. That was a problem for sure
Win Shares (and some of the other stats like box score stuff and PER) are nice, but the stat that has has most predictive value in terms of wins has been plus /minus stuff like RAPM. Harden has always been an awesome RAPM player going back to his okc days (one reason we were all excited to get him)...until last year. By single year RAPM he dropped from top 10 prior two years to 50 something. By multi year RAPM he fell from top 5 to 16th. This stemmed from him being out of shape imo, which affected his defense and turnovers. I think they realize this was an issue and it's getting corrected
Wholeheartedly agree! The worst part of this is Morey (or Reek as Carl Herrera has called him) isn't allowed to be Morey anymore. I always had confidence he would reload with new assets and a promising direction. We went from Steve and Yao, Tmac and Yao, then to Harden, then Harden plus dwight. Now it's sort of like...wtf are we doing? Just harden and a bunch of role players? Even if Harden wins the MVP we aren't contenders
It's as much an insult to Morey, who has been trying to build a super-team (3 stars) since he became GM. Maybe Les wrote it and took a shot at Reek.
Probably not, but they said that this year. Spurs and Cavs are still very good. Maybe they add some pieces. Maybe the Warriors have chemistry problems. Injuries happen, etc
