No, you have a .05 chance of getting capped by a cop if you act like an *******, and not obey commands. Chances of getting randomly shot by a cop for no reason is probably .001% but then again you probably have the same or higher chance of getting shot by any random person.

Moral of the story, don't act like an ******* and obey police instructions. Not hard.

Any random person isn't employed to protect me. If my chances of being shot by a cop are the same as being shot by any random person then we have a REALLY ****ED up situation going on. You should every day thank your damn lucky stars that you're white in America.

Yea. And it created headaches for both lawful carriers and law enforcement.

My oldest sister was molested by a cop who decided to pull her over and suspected her of narcotics while driving a minivan with my two oldest nieces in the car. At the time they were both toddlers and my sister doesn't do drugs ever. The cop didn't call a female officer. He had no search warrant or reason to suspect my sister of illegal activity. He just wanted to cop a feel and knew he could get away with it. So ya murder isn't the only thing cops get away with. For what it's worth my sister is white too. Cops get away with far more than non-law enforcement and their occupation isn't nearly anywhere as hazardous as other occupations like construction.

Not true. Cops are shady. I miss the days of complaining about how shady they are with issuing tickets at speed traps around middle of nowhere towns in Texas and those are just petty offenses compared to sexual assault and murder.

We now know real life experience on the impact of it while cops were being killed. That's it.

I mean, you might as well have said that "We now know real life experience on the impact of the right to peacefully assemble while cops were being killed"

I was a prosecutor for two years and have been a criminal defense attorney going on three. The first is explicitly law enforcement and the second has frequent contacts with law enforcement and requires a significant understanding of it. How about you?

If you read a little deeper into it, they found that while police shootings are at the same rate, instances of aggressive police tactics - handcuffs, pepper spray, frisking, etc... - happen at a much higher rate to minorities. I'm also not sure that the urban areas studied - all in Florida, Cali & Texas - are truly representative of the nation as a whole.

It's a shame that the US doesn't require all law enforcement to submit data on police shootings and excessive force complaints to the Justice Dept so we could have actual nationwide info on these things.

It seems like his data was mostly from Houston which has a significantly higher black population than the US in general.

When you got speed limits that change from 70 to 50 to 40 and 30 in the span of less than a mile and if you're above any of those speed limits as you pass the signs by even one or two miles and you get ticketed out in the middle of nowhere Texas then yes it's shady.

I got a ticket on MoPac saying there was construction last year when they hadn't even begun and was cited a traffic ticket for 10 miles over (55 in a 65 mph area which MoPac usually is). Had to go to court a few months later and by then the 65 mph speed limit signs were removed and I lost any evidence I had to corroborate my story that I was actually going the speed limit and there was no construction. Even the cops videos showing the pullover cut off my explanation to the officer that there was no construction when it was presented in court. So yea, shady. SHADY.

I mean I get as annoyed as it as anyone else, especially going through like East Bernard on 90. But I don't find this to be shady. They could certainly space out the speed changes a little more, but you can't expect to go 70 through a small town with storefronts on the main highway. It might even be in statute that speed limits can't exceed a certain point in residential areas. I'm tempted to call a friend at TxDOT and ask.

And they have to pay the bills. These small towns don't have a lot of tax revenue. They live off of out of towners speeding through.

I'm honestly not attacking you or your situation personally, but I don't have any sympathy for speeders. I try my very best to never speed. I use cruise control religiously. When I go the back way on 90 from Austin to Houston, I'm always watching my mirrors for cops, always checking my speed, and signs.

If Cops shot people for talking like an idiot, you'd have a 100% chance of getting shot by a Cop.

Obama just took away the spotlight from the slain officers to further his anti-cop rhetoric. Unbelievable
