Every change has to start somewhere. Hopefully this is the start of a change in him. If he could really become a hungry animal on both sides of the floor, it won't take long for the culture on the team to change.
Good. Harden had to come out and basically unclench the buttholes of this entire city's fan base. He could've held the whole team for ransom like his home boy up in OKC but chose to kill those distractions and give the team another couple of years to reload. I'm fairly certain that entire group hated Dwight and knew he was the biggest issue. JJ Watt locked up. James Harden locked up. Correa/Springer/Altuve....?
I think Harden actually wants to be the sole leader and sharing it with Dwight was not easy for him. Now he just has to prove he can do it. My body is ready!!
I want to be the very best. Like no one ever was. To catch them is my real test, to train them is my cause! I will travel across the land, searching far and wide! Each Rocket to understand, the power that's inside. Spoiler
anyone bothered by 'another championship to Houston' ? just semantics, but sounds like he's already won one here. Either that or another example of the organization still holding onto and milking every last drop of 1994/1995 like it was yesterday
"We are not a super-team, but just a group of guys that want to work hard to be the very best" Good thing Les's interns got a chance to edit Harden's first version: "We are not a super-team, but just me and a bunch of role players who work hard, and eat dinner together." Spoiler In all seriousness, I'm sure that is a market letter from Les meant for season-ticket holders that he had Harden digitally sign. No knock to Harden, I just take these as pure marketing stuff from the owner.
Harden wrote this lol this definitely doesn't sound like something a PR guy would make up, it sounds genuine
