Also Joe Johnson It was really never about his salary the next 2 seasons. It's about the $18 or $19 mil in the 3rd and 4th seasons. If Bosh retires then you would only have Dragic($18) and Whiteside($25) as big contracts, but if Bosh($26.8) is still active then you have around $70 mil in 3 guys. Plus $3 mil for Winslow. Add Johnson and you're close to $90 mil for 5 guys and 8 roster spots to fill. Even with the cap going up again they won't have space for a 10 year max salary. Is Tyler Johnson worth the future risk? Is he just a role player or is he a future star?

Tyler Johnson is the Heat's new Dwyane Wade! If they match, the team has serious money committed to there back court.
I wouldn't say very disappointing. His metrics actually didn't drop too much outside of his 3 point shooting, but growing pains were expected playing with players like Wade, Bosh, and later Whiteside. For the most part, he did great in the playoffs.
I think they have $5 to $6 mil if they get Johnson and Crabbe. Offer to Johnson was $12.5 so about $17 to $18 mil. I think they might make an offer to DMo if they don't get either one of those guys.
Exactly, i just poste this in the D.Mo thread... http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=10606477&postcount=408

Lefty mania!
As a Dragic owner in fantasy last year, I can tell you that Dragic had weak box scores when Bosh was playing. His shot attempts were less the 10 per game and shooting low percentages. He was very inconsistent. It was when Bosh went down for long spurts that Dragic shone and started playing the way we know he can (strange he could still play well alongside Wade, but not Bosh). I think he'll be fine without so many mouths to feed in Miami this year.
