Since when saying fck the cops and pigs is the same as being a terrorist? Is theren't freedom of speech?
Its easy to tell who the racists are. There have been a disproportionate number of acts towards blacks specifically resulting in their death due to police intervention. If Obama says something about it, he is fanning the flames? Most people identify it as an injustice, and an injustice that is present in our legal system without a doubt. Why is pointing it out a bigger sin than refusing to acknowledge it? Both sides are condoning violence, which is never the answer. The repugs as usual are up in pitchforks ready to renounce anything that has to do with a black president and a change in the status quo of other people if it means if may affect their own lives.
God, this forum can be depressing. It is bad enough that a lunatic apparently felt the need to kill, or attempt to kill, as many police officers as he could with an assault rifle while a peaceful protest was being held, yet I have to also read innumerable posts by members I have on ignore quoted by otherwise reasonable people here. Give me a ****ing break, people.

Yep. His speech on the two incidents were in no way meant to calm people down or slow reaction for due process. He just used them to talk about how unfair police and the justice system are. Pouring gasoline on an already burning public unrest.

The shooter was mad at BLM too and not affiliated with them, so I don't know why people keep saying BLM is apart of this. Did they not see the majority of videos and photos before the shooting. ****ing idiots.

I know one thing for certain. There are a lot of conversations among families of cops happening today all across America. And those conversations have to do with "Is it worth it to pursue this career?" and "I don't want our family to come 2nd to a career where you're hated and hunted". We all just got a little more unsafe last night.
probably the first and only time I've ever agreed with Donald Trump..from his Facebook page: "Last night’s horrific execution-style shootings of 12 Dallas law enforcement officers – five of whom were killed and seven wounded- is an attack on our country. It is a coordinated, premeditated assault on the men and women who keep us safe. We must restore law and order. We must restore the confidence of our people to be safe and secure in their homes and on the street. The senseless, tragic deaths of two people in Louisiana and Minnesota reminds us how much more needs to be done. This morning I offer my thoughts and prayers for all of the victims’ families, and we pray for our brave police officers and first responders who risk their lives to protect us every single day. Our nation has become too divided. Too many Americans feel like they’ve lost hope. Crime is harming too many citizens. Racial tensions have gotten worse, not better. This isn’t the American Dream we all want for our children. This is a time, perhaps more than ever, for strong leadership, love and compassion. We will pull through these tragedies." https://www.facebook.com/DonaldTrump/?fref=nf
It's unquestionably clear now that the BLM movement has caused more divide than good by now. People who were ignorant or didn't believe in any systemic race and law enforcement issues before the BLM movement definitely are more entrenched than ever in that notion. They failed. The leaders of the movement need to step away and new more rational people should take the mantel, rename the movement and try to be more productive than divisive.
