People are campaigning for the right not to be executed extrajudicially and you're equating them with the KKK. I have all kinds of horrible insults in my mind for you right now, but I choose not to say them as a Christian. Peace be unto you.
Well, at least he didn't tweet "I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!!!!!1111" like after the Orlando massacre. Baby steps, I suppose(?)
Haha, you know that it isn't "His" statement. Can you see imagine him saying that in your wildest dreams? The only thing that seems like him is that he has some factual errors in it.
I'm talking about the founders and the people at the core of the BLM movement. The Black Panthers are a hate group no different than the KKK, but their former members speak regularly at BLM events and speak on what the Black Panthers were about. The founders and core of the BLM movement have decided to hold up cop killers as role models and feature quotes by them on their website..... You can bury your head in the sand if you like, but it's plain to see what the core of the BLM movement is all about.
When he, Donald J. Trump, says that we must restore law and order: it points to the problem. How do you restore what has never been correct to begin with? I think many black people would welcome Donald Trump reforming the police department, but sadly I don't think that's actually what he means or intends to do.
I did not know that bombs were a non-military option in the US... interesting. Violence is violence and I do not fault the police response in the light of their losses and risks... I just didn't know Law enforcement could do that since: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOVE
That's really weird. As I was reading it, I thought wow a logical statement from Trump. And then the guy at the end of the tweet said what I was thinking. By the time I scrolled down and read your statement it already crossed my mind that he probably didn't write that haha.
I just went to their website and and looked at the three women who are attributed with coining the black lives matter slogan and formed the group. I don't see where they are members of the black panthers? I also don't see anything hateful on their website?
I don't think anyone is holding all black people responsible for what the sniper said and did. Leaders in the BLM have openly supported convicted cop killers. Keynote speakers at the events have supported Osama Bin-Laden and have called for black people to shoot and kill police officers. This isn't really any different than if a Trump supporter started shooting Muslims. When you have inflammatory statements/beliefs by a special interest group or members of a group; it is fair to criticize and question the relationship between violence and the message of the group. I had the same reservations about the Tea Party....
There is a different justification in groups fighting against discrimination and groups fighting for discrimination, though the determination of whom is which is always debatable. But non-violent protest is more effective and violence is met with violent response... it has to be. Trumps response is not the reasonable text it seems... "LAW and ORDER must be restored" implies a further loss of civil liberties and the militarization of the police. Veiled fascism.
You'll find quotes by Black Panther and cop killer Assata Shakur on that same site, it's not hard to see what they are about and I said that the founders were Black Panther sympathizers, not that they were members. When it comes to the core group, not talking just about founders, you'll find former Black Panthers and members of other hate groups. I'm sure some have positive intentions for their affiliation with that "movement" but you can't ignore their ties to extremists.
I don't have any context for your specific claims, but absolutely there are documented cases of these rallies or group led marches being rife with people full of hate or racial division. That's fair. However, the same people in here, with the exception of Bobby who I don't know has ever supported any candidate, who would bash the BLM organization for their "speakers" or people they support, have also supported Ted Cruz, Donald Trump, etc. despite them having speakers at their rallies who were bigots, racists, hateful, etc. With that said, as much as the BLM founders probably want to think they are the principal actors (actresses) in the BLM movement, the phrase itself has expanded at this point to where people using it on social media or in protests don't even necessarily (or likely even) have anything to do with the "sanctioned" group.
And to go further, that Shakur quote isn't hateful, but what would you think about a group that had Dylan Roof quotes on their page, even if they weren't hateful quotes? You'd think that they were assholes for holding that guy up as a role model. Well, I think that hosting Assata Shakur quotes is essentially the same thing.
Do more research. Garza is a large supporter of Shakur and Davis and has made statements that they are role models of hers. Malik Shabazz has spoken numerous times at BLM events. He has called for a race war, has made comments that white people are the enemy, he has called for the murder of police officers and has made pro ISIS comments recently. At some of the rallies there have been chants of "pig" etc. It was founded by racist radicals. I don't believe a majority of people that claim support for BLM are aware of the beliefs of those that have power in the organization. I believe most people that support BLM view it is a positive organization.
