Yeah, it took me about 1 minute after I posted that to figure it out. I do hope they take one of them alive, just to learn their motivations, planning, etc...might help prevent something someday.

Do you really think so? I don't know what specifically makes it one versus the other (terrorism) but damn.
It upsets me that black men are being shot unnecessarily by cops. It equally upsets me that someone is shooting cops in retaliation as some sort of perverse justice. No one is safer. This is not justice. It's just tragedy building upon tragedy. Madness.

Nah, it would make sense. Assume you are a BLM type terrorist, you'd be targeting cops "in retaliation" for police shootings Assume you are an ISIS type terrorist, there's all sorts of racial tensions in the US right now due to the police shootings, what better way to ignite the powder keg by targeting cops. Pretty good method to further divide the country. There's plenty of terrorism type reasons why you'd target cops right now.
I don't know how much you've been following, but dallascitynews.net is supposed to show if you can get into work in the Downtown Dallas area, but that site is swamped by traffic at the moment. If you work Uptown, it may not be an issue. It's kind of scary because that Bank of America building is where a lot of my co-workers go to eat lunch since it's a short walk away. The sad thing is I don't think they've caught these people yet or at least not all of them.
Terrorist acts are meant to target a group of people. That group could be westerners. It could be a religious group. It could blacks. It could be gays. And it can be cops. The idea of terrorism is to strike fear with carnage to make a statement. That is exactly what was done here. This was not a random act of anger, it was a planned act and appears very well thought out. It's actually very scary.
Gawker has video of one suspect on the ground shooting an officer..looked like he was wearing a ski mask

Well I think terrorism would historically require a political motivation but nowadays they call it terrorism depending on how heinous the act or how many people are killed.
