Once again, if you TRULY believe Durant PURPOSELY LOST A 3-1 LEAD in the WCF in order to facilitate this move, then you're blinded by all the chit covering your eyes from having your head up so far LeBron's ass.
He doesn't believe that, he's just angry and wants to ascribe all the evils of the world to Durant. By next week, Durant will be history's greatest monster.

I wouldn't be so sure. Durant's got broken bones in his foot repaired with screws-- another person that has those was Yao Ming. Durant might have many years left, or his career might end in a flash. It's just hard to know. Thus, I don't blame him for maximizing his chances for winning when he is still in his prime.
I have a friend from the Bay Area and as a warriors fan he doesn't like this signing, called Durant a ring chasing p***y, and said now any kind of success will be overshadowed and drowned out by Durant having to form a super team I know most warriors fan are probably estatic but it was interesting hearing him wish Durant signed elsewhere. He's been a big curry fan before the Mvps and thinks this will hurt his image with Durant there
Interesting take, it sounds like your friend is either lying (not likely that he is though), or.... He wants to see competitive basketball and not make it garbage league. I am also wondering how well they'll do with some of their guys gone (even with the new signings), but... If Kerr and co get everything working, they're going to be a crazy good team.
The warriors didnt win the finals this year because varajao and festus were trash. Lets see if durant's stardom and talent offsets their need for a competent big men to work well against the Cavs.
Yeah, I think Barnes didn't step up as well, but Bogut prior to injury in finals was decent inside and was helpful in getting those illegal screens.
I don't know why people are arguing whether the Warriors will be a lock for next season's title, as if that has anything to do with whether Durant should join them. The issue is not that they have no chance to lose, that Durant joining them would make them unbeatable. There have been many epic upsets in sport history. Any team can beat any team in a game or even a 7-game series. That's why they still have to win it on the court, not on paper. The issue is Durant's decision to join a team that was already proven to be one of the best, if not the best team in history without him. If Durant was a second tier star or an over-the-hill first tier star, nobody would feel outraged. Him being a top 3 player in his prime joining the best team in the league (not to mention the team that just beat his own contending team) is the issue.

When comparing Durant's decision with that of past great players, lets remember that the reason why other player haven't done what he did is because the NBA rules and circumstances really did not allow such a move to happen. Question: Do you know when NBA players first gained the right to be unrestricted free agents? The summer of 1988. The first unrestricted free agent to move was Tom Chambers, whose contract happen to expire that summer when rules finally allowed for unrestricted free agency: http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/...ed-unrestricted-free-agency-in-the-nba-070914 We also have other rules that restrained player movements: Contracts were allowed to be longer, there were no limit on individual max salary until Kevin Garnett's huge contract motivated one to be instituted (Garnett was making almost $20M when the cap was $35M). So a lot of the players who wanted to move teams simply could not have done so via free agency. The popular way to force a move was to demand a trade, which requires the consent of a player's current team. We do have a few of those happening, too. Charles Barkley demanded a trade, and got himself moved to the 53-win Phoenix Suns. If the rules were different, Charles might well have been in a position to make a similar move as a free agent to a team of his own choosing. Of course, another thing that's unique about this season is the huge cap jump-- so that a 70+ win team also was in a position to clear enough cap space to take on a max contract while keeping its core pieces together. So, a lot of this "Jordan or whoever didn't do this" talk is pretty meaningless: None of them really were in a position to do what Durant did.
Weird that Durant wants 'strength in numbers'. He didn't trust his own teammates near the end of games and that did them in. He might think Westbrook was an issue but he should look at himself. The greatest players lead, but come to think of it he never really seemed to do that.
I don't really have anything against KD signing with GSW but c'mon why does he say him joining GSW makes it harder to win a ring? http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/...ors-the-hardest-road-to-a-championship-070716 WTF? Is he just dumb or just rationalizing his decision? In what planet does adding a top 3 player (and Zaza Pachulia and Ray allen) make winning a ring harder?
Why am I seeing all this Ray Allen already signed stuff? He hasn't yet, and I don't really think he will. Yes, he's one of the best conditioned NBA players ever, and has stayed in shape... but he's 41! Then again, all he'd have to do is stand in the corner for 8 minutes a game... hmmmmmm.
That statement shows his character. He's a liar who will always look to take the easiest road possible. Even if he signed with the Spurs or Clippers, I think most people would have been okay with that. Instead he signed with the team that won 73 games, was a couple of minutes away from repeating as champs and was the favorite to win it all next year even without him.
