How about a 3 team trade that had the basic parameters of:

    Rockets get: Rubio
    Timberwolves get: Tyson Chandler
Suns get: Brewer (or + KJ)

    Suns reduce salary.
    Rockets get a PG.
Timberwolves get a vet C that would fit in Thibs system either off the bench or Towns starts at PF.

For that, I'd rather take Chandler and trade Capela and Bev for a point guard.

No chance they would add in their best young player, too. Only way they would do it as is, is if they are tired of the Cousins headache and feel there is more longterm stability with Love, if he is healthy.

I'd rather we try to get PJ Tucker, like you had suggested months earlier, Deuce.
Bima says we can still sign-and-trade Terrence Jones, but I figure KJ McDaniels + Dekker could work.

Why not take on Tyson Chandler and help the Suns land Millsap?
Codman hinted Korver could be on the block. [check my post #4329 on the previous page in this thread]

More from Codman in the Nene signing thread. We need to flip Brewer into Cavs trade exception quick...

If the 'Brazilian' and SweetLou are both from the same team [Lakers], then it's Marcelo Huertas and Lou Williams.

Bulls think they are really in it for Wade. Calderon would be a very solid option we could absorb into cap space and not affect 2017 cap space at all.

I'd think a 2018 2nd round pick would get it done when they already have Rondo and Jerian Grant at PG and then would have Butler, Wade, Snell, and Dunleavy at SG. Seems like they would have to attach an asset to Dunleavy to get rid of him.

And for the record, we might even be able to get the asset from Chicago, but with the options at PG right now, I would give up a protected 2nd for Calderon if that is what has to happen to get him instead of the Bulls trading him elsewhere or trading a different player into someone else's space.

Cavs need to clear cap space to sign Wade plus acquiring the almost as coveted Ariza:

Cleveland gets: Ariza (defend Durant), Bev (replace Delly), Capela (replace Timofey) and Caron Butler (waive?)

    Sacramento gets: Kevin Love

    Houston gets: Demarcus Cousins

    Works on nba trade machine.

Win-win for all 3 teams. Cousins may not like to run but would be a beast in MDA's system since he is very good passer, scorer (all the way out to 3pt line), rim protector (7-6 wingspan), hands for steals and rebounder.

Sacramento gets rid of logjam at the 5 spot by bringing in a true star player (Love) and allowing some of the young lottery pick centers an opportunity to carve some playing time as well as the whole organization/city to cut the cord with a very disgruntled and outspoken superstar.

I had posted about trading for Calderon a couple months back before he got traded to Chicago. And I'm still for acquiring him.

He is a perfect fit. I know he is horrible defensively but offensively he is like a broke mans Nash. Yes he is much older and should be a bench guy at about 20mpg tops.

But he has great court recognition, high ball IQ, he is a very sound facilitator with a low tov%, a good ast/tov ratio, an elite 3pt shooter.

Also he fits in with the culture change and high character guys we seem to be establishing.

Harden is going to control the ball in this offense and will be our de-facto PG but we still need a second playmaker/ball handler. He would be able to run the offense while harden sits and he is very capable playing off the ball next to him since he is a very good catch and shoot player.

EGO is another shot creator but not necessarily a facilitator. Having Calderon would be very good especially since he is an expiring contract and a high character guy who would add some value as a veteran leader.

If you could get a asset like a future 1st I'd be happy.

    kj/Harrell for jose/dunleavy/lotto protected 1st

Something like this should be valuable for both teams.

If Wade does decide to return to Miami and Whiteside does not reneg on his commitment then there is a possibility that they attach Winslow to McRoberts to dump salary.

If this happens then we are primed to make a move.

Wade's decision could present several options. If he goes to Chicago we could ask for a 1st rounder with Calderon. If he goes to Cleveland we could try to land Love. Denver is the one team that I don't see an opportunity with. They also owe us a 2nd Round pick int he next draft so hopefully not Denver.

I'm excited to watch Bosh on Any Given Wednesday tonight to see his temperament about the upcoming season.

These trades are based on the possibility of Miami getting desperate to keep Flash in Miami.

Trade 1: Winslow and McRoberts into space.
Trade 2: Brewer and Ariza for Rubio

    Rubio/Bev
    Harden/Gordon
    Winslow/McDaniels
    Anderson/Beasley/McRoberts
    DMO/Capela/Nene

Trade 1: Winslow and McRoberts into space.
Trade 2: Brewer, Capela and Ariza for Okafor or Noel
Trade 3: DMO sign and trade for Rubio

    Rubio/Bev
    Harden/Gordon
    Winslow/McDaniels
    Anderson/Beasley/McRoberts
    Okafor or Noel/Nene

It'll never happen, but anything is fair game in this thread....

Houston trades: Ariza, Brewer, 2017 1st rounder + sweeteners
    Houston receives: Westbrook

    OKC trades: Westbrook
    OKC receives: Love

    Cleveland trades: Love
Cleveland receives: Ariza, Brewer, 2017 1st rounder + sweeteners

Kenny Atkinson says there's no way they're trading him and he's recovering from planter faciitis. So he's probably going to be a Rocket.

    Capela, Brewer, KJ for Vucevic
    Ariza, 1st for Gay
Move Gordon to the PG spot but Harden runs the offense
Sign Thornton again to back up harden
Trade for Hollis Thompson from 76ers

    Bev/Gordon/Payton
    Harden/Thornton/Goudelock
    Gay/Thompson/Dekker
    Beasley/Anderson/Harell
    Vucevic/Nene/Onuaku

Lineup give us you an all star scorer, 2 good offensive scorers, defensive guard and stretch 4. The bench is nothing but 3pt shooting with a center who is a questionable signing

    3 Team Trade:
    Houston In: Westbrook, Cousins, Casspi
Sacramento In: Kanter, Ariza, Bev, Dekker, Motie, picks galore
OKC In: Gay, Brewer, Koufos, McDaniels, Capela, Goudelock, picks galore
Sign A BUNCH of role players

    To explain this pipe dream:
OKC wants Kanter out. Westbrook could leave for next to nothing. Cousins could also leave for next to nothing. Both get shipped to Houston. Ariza fills the Gay hole being left (pun intended), while Bev backs up Collison. Dekker and Motie get groomed in a terrible team so their playing time will be higher. Kanter can play PF if needed so WCS can start. For OKC, blow the team up. Payne starting with Goudlock behind him. McDaniels behind Oladipo. Koufos behind Adams. Groom Sabonis and Capela and Gay filling in the 3rd spot.

    Westbrook/Norris Cole/GPII
    Harden/Gordon/Gary Neal
    Beasley/Casspi/Gentile
    Speights/Harrell/Scola
    Cousins/NeNe/Onuaku

    Now that the dreams over:

Brewer and some seconds for Tyson Chandler
