    Good. Bring em on.

Under the water it rumbled on,
    Still louder and more dread:
    It reached the ship, it split the bay;
The ship went down like lead.

Yep, that is a big if, however, on June 28 the Rangers were 51-27 and the Astros 41-37. The Rangers, playing .500 ball the rest of the way would reach 93 wins. The Astros would have to play at a near .620 clip to tie them.

Things changed pretty quick in a span of a week.

Hinch's pitching management is...........questionable. I have a feeling it is going to cost us in the end.

What was questionable about it? Harris was essentially unavailable tonight. Fiers pitched well for 3 innings then ran into a buzz saw in the 4th. Hinch replaced him with Devenski (which was a solid move as usual) and he pitched 2.2 innings. With Harris out the closing trio became Feliz, Giles and Gregerson. Feliz got lit up. It happens. Giles was great. Gregerson had a shaky 9th but persevered.

What should he have done differently?

    Sometimes players fail.

Yeah, Hinch did well...there is only so much a manager can do.

I would have probably pulled Feliz after the 3 run shot, but Hinch kept him in against their best hitters, and we were able to get out of the inning. Had we brought someone else in, the results may have been different.

Lot of things to complain about, like Rasmus striking out 5 times...but Hinch did what he was supposed to do.

Through 84 games last year, the Astros had a 7 game lead on the Rangers.

Very random, but who would you rather build around. Altuve or Bryce Harper?

Altuve EASILY, especially if we get to keep Springer too. Second base is a position where you rarely see elite offense production approaching Altuve's level.

The problem is that the bullpen pitchers all have a non-zero ERAs. Thus, this is all Hinch's fault.

I'm honestly curious what he thinks Hinch should have done differently there? I guess he was supposed to tell Feliz not to give up 3 runs? He put the right guys in at the right times. Players have responsibility too.

Anyways it all worked out, great series.

The guy has 4 posts in the Astros forum since the season started. 2 complaining about Hinch. One defending cangrejero and the other a deserved shot at Keuchel.

Harper is not half the player Altuve is and is becoming.

The guy has already gotten a batting title. Will likely get a second one this year and he may steal 40 bases this year with 30 hr.

Harper is basically Springer. Has hr power, but he isn't nearly as good or all-around player as say Mike Trout.

If it was Altuve Vs. Trout, then that's a real question.

You probably have to go with Trout at the moment. But Altuve isn't far behind him.

Ball gets past Gattis or hit batter and the forum explodes. It was obvious by first two batters walked Luke Greg wasn't on his game, there was also talk postgame about where was Feldman.

You do realize Harper was 2 hits away from winning a batting title against Roidy Gordon last year while hitting 42 HR and winning the MVP at age 22, right?
