Really hope it's not Varejao. Had no idea how far he'd fallen off until I watched him in the finals. Max effort, but nothing in the tank. Love the Nene signing, especially at 2.9 mill.
Does anyone else in the NBA pay their center rotation less than 5 million a year? DarEEL Moray is looking pretty sharp.
I watched a bit of Nene last year. He's not the player he used to be but he still has something left. More importantly he's probably the only player other than Capela who can play center on the current roster. This is a good signing IMO.
I hope not. Rather sign George Lucas de Paula, 6-6 PG with 7 ft wingspan and size 11 mitts. Extremely raw and inconsistent shot but the guy is all upside. Could really flourish in MDA's uptempo system.
Neto or Huertas would be a nice pickup. They make good decisions with the ball and are like jitterbugs.
Splitter? That would be a decent pick-up. Do you think Nene can stay healthy? I mean it would be a retooling to be able to get Nene, Gordon, Ryan A, Splitter and Williams. Not sure they will stay healthy but if they are healthy for the playoffs it could work.
Seriously, Morey has been after Nene since the NBA killed his Pau deal, not news that he still wants him...not sure how much he has left in the tank, but why not at such a low deal point. DD

If Nene can manage to stay healthy and give us an effective 15-20 minutes a game at the 5, this was an amazing signing by Morey on a very low risk contract. I like it.
