Cheap enough deal that makes it worth the gamble and gives us some depth.

I hope you mean 8 figures because you're suggesting we pay less than a million for him...

    No Morey guys?

The whole point of the vetoed Gasol trade was to get Pau and then sign Nene.

I get what you're saying, but this was likely a very cheap contract. He can still score at a high rate. I can't imagine we actually plan on doing much more with him other than bringing him off of the bench.

    1 year 2.9 Mil.
    I'm fine with that.
Nene is a shadow of himself but if it's one year deal as a stopgap it will be ok.

No can he hit a mid range is the question. No chance for offensive rebounds when all your players are parked at the 3pt line

Seeing a trend here fam. All high character, great locker room guys who can and will change the culture around him.

Doesn't hurt that NeNe is an absolutely perfect fit as the Capela backup.

Ok for the room exception I'm fine with it like I said in another thread.

Hoping for more moves and hoping that Nene is not counted on for big minutes.

He only played 19 minutes a game but his Per 36 has always been solid.

    Agreed.

Add Barbosa now. I've said before that part of the "culture" change the Rockets need to undergo is adding high character guys that are used to winning that have great reputations around the league. Barbosa is beloved as as a teammate.

For $2.9 million, this is a really solid signing. That leaves quite a bit of cap flexibility for other signings or potential trades.

You forgot to mention that that was in 19 minutes per game.

Per 36, he averaged 17.3 pts, 8.5 reb, 3.2 assists

    That's serviceable production.
