If only it were true... Boban displaying his crane style kung-fu defensive chops against Yao himself...

Barbosa, Cole, Speights are the only ones I'd even consider but I'd rather get some players in a trade. We have Gordon so Barbosa probably won't happen, Cole is not that great and Speights will want to contend.
Nene please. I think he could be had for a very reasonable deal, but I have a feeling Murray is trying to sign a legitimate low post presence. I'd love Boogie but we can't outbid most other teams. We just don't have the pieces.
Barbosa would be a limited minutes guy. Gordon doesn't offset him. Barbosa is a 10-15 minute a night guy as a backup guard. He's an awesome lockeroom presence and I'd sign him just for that.
Nene has declined considerably. For the veteran's minimum at the back of your roster sure, but you can't rely on him for anything.
He is constantly dealing with injuries and isn't nearly the athlete he used to be. He's 33 years old and Washington was desperate for big man depth this offseason to replace him.
There isn't a lot of quality left out there to be had, but some players can help this team resemble something competitive if they address some areas that seemed to be the biggest problem areas that the team had last year. None of these am I 'excited' nor thrilled about, but I'm a fan of our team and would love to see them overachieve and make some shocking noise out west (4th-6th seed hopefully). The most important thing that this team needs is a TOUGH VOCAL VETERAN LEADERS that can actually contribute on the floor: Jarrett Jack Nene Udonis Haslem The other thing that this team needs are BIGS that can set screens, space the floor & hit the glass: Marreese Speights Jordan Hill Meyers Leonard, restricted Miles Plumlee, restricted Jared Sullinger, restricted David Lee Third thing this team needs is TOUGHNESS & HEART & ENERGY & 'Scrappyness'. Guys that play with a grit and passion similar to Beverly: Dion Waiters, restricted Gerald Green James Johnson Lance Stephenson Based on the D'Antoni system, spacing is significant, I would also look at SHOOTERS like: Kevin Martin Randy Foye Chase Budinger Kirk Hinrich Steve Blake Isaiah Canaan
'Very bad' isn't fair. He can still score at a high rate. The skills are still there, although he's not as quick as he used to be. That and the typical Nene shortcomings are still there or worse (injury prone, average defense, not a great rebounder). You can't count on him...but you could also do a lot worse in terms of bargain bin shopping.
I bet there are probably a couple free agents waiting to come aboard after we make a trade or two. This team will look totally different in the coming weeks. So people can stop complaining about Anderson and Gordon when they see how they will fit in the bigger picture.

Called it. Murray you listening to me? Need a low post presence to make all our perimeter players effective. Scotland next?
