Lin wasn't liked a whole lot by a few teams and Ask became frustrated with what they were doing. He looks like he likes the pelicans a lot more.

We got Dwight for Harden and it did not grant us a Final appearance.

    Barely 1 WC appearance.

Fact is this organization has problems building a championship team no matter what.

Agree with that. Even a great organisation like the Spurs tanked when it needed to.

So you point out they gambled on injury prone players, but they'll be tradeable? That logic is somewhat contradictory.

And you still didn't address my point..why go after these players specifically, if according to u, we just needed.shooters to make James look good in this offense? They werent going to come for less, you're right, so why cave in, waste more money, for more years, risk them getting injured and therefore not tradeable, when they could have signed Curry and Leur instead? Heck even Curry and Villanueva, if all they want is shooting.

What you're saying just doesnt make sense...

They got these guys because they're actually good players...who can shoot and we needed that..not sure why you think guys dont like harden or think he's selfish..thats a twitter narrative youre using...nba guys know the truth not a narrative..they know hes one of the better passers in the league and that he's not the only star scorer who slacks off in defense. And they like him..it was dwight they didnt like..

Horford gave us a meeting, knowing Dwight was gone..and then he turned down playing with Dwight bc it wasnt worth it unless he got the full max....it's a dwight issue..unfortunately he was our second best player, so we lost his baggage, but also the ability to tell free agents we had two stars already.

Hardens brand is fine, as long as he plays d, thats all he needs...the rest is about the team culture, which will change with new coaches and new players..we needed that to be a better team..there's no need for gimmick acquistions....better the team and the rest follows.

Why get them? Because if Morey doesnt at least try and get help, Harden will probavly want a trade by mid-season, lowering whatever we might be able to get for him, let alone wait for free agency in 2 years.

problem is he might treat MDA like a substitute teacher.
but what if we had glorious Van Gundy? and harden would just go stevie and roll his eyes.
At some point, you'd want harden to grow into a Leader of Men. It's about that time that we should be seeing him evolve.

    crossing fingers.

Exactly, that's why my last paragraph says this could end up enabling Hardwn even more

You might be a LOF if 41% of all your posts are about Jeremy Lin. Who do you think you're fooling? Pffft. lol

    Ok.

So Harden will want to leave if he doesnt get help now, but yet you think the FO will risk "not trying to win" to rebrand Harden and that wont piss him off? The worst thing for his brand is the team having another disappointing season. They're not going to waste a season to rebrand...of thats the case then why wouldn't james just want out now?

Again, being better is what will help james AND the team. Dwight was a lost cause..other than that, we're better and theyre not done making moves.

You can't build a championship team around a scorer who doesn't D up and who has weak leadership skills. You can try to add this piece, that piece, and any other piece, but if the foundation is flawed it's not gonna work.

He's Jamal Crawford 2.0. A sixth man. A key piece to a championship team, but not the core.

The sooner the Rockets realize this and move on the better.

Dude, trying and actually being able to put a product together with a legitimate chance of winning is two different things. If you can get 1st tier players or even 2nd tier players, you can try but it wont get you anywhere.

Gordon and Anderson are 3rd tier players with a risk factor (injury history) it's not like we did not try for Durant, Horford,Conley and Bazemore etc. But if we cant get legitimate players. Then the goal shifts to the bext priority. Which is the stated goal in this thead.
