Glad for Harris, he deserved it. Springer should have gone ahead of Beltran and Trumbo given his defensive presence. Those 2 are DH's, or liabilities at this point. No complaints with Correa missing out, thought others were more deserving.
Unfortunately, I lack the innate ability to turn my gut feeling that Harris would not make it into a correct prediction.

As long as you weren't swayed by all those ESPN "experts"... they all were wondering why Chapman wasn't on the team, lol.
Carlos Beltran & Mark Trumbo proving defense doesn't matter. Weiters & Vogt are terrible selections, but the desire for 3 catchers really hurts and Perez was really the only quality catcher in the AL this year. Thankfully Hosmer was the only questionable fan selection (some others might not have been most deserving starters, but they belonged on the roster).
Springer definitely belonged there. I think Correa should have been on the fan vote, but really can't complain. He's better than several guys on the roster, but so are guys like Chris Davis. Every one of the final vote players have a great argument for the team.
They are, but they are terrible in the field. For me, I really dislike the Trumbo inclusion. He belongs in the HR derby, but for me, his offensive numbers don't cancel out his defensive flaws. I think Davis would have been more deserving from the O's. Desmond looked like a lock, IMO.
Just including Desmond because to me he's still an infielder only playing the OF out of necessity.... but yeah, yet another example of where defense doesn't matter. Springer can have another reason to dislike the Royals, I guess... not like Yost hasn't seen first-hand what he can do.... probably his best numbers against any regular season opponent.
We already knew that, as there were only 3 backup OFs selected. The players really aren't that good at the vote either, but no matter who selects, there are going to be flaws.
