Man, I wish Jason C Freidman was back with us. Just looking at Fly Ry's twiter photos, they seem to would have gotten along real nicely for interviews or what not.

You'd think the Rockets went 0-82 this past season the way some flip out on here.

    Nobody is arguing Ryno's fit.
    It's a 20$mil / yr for 4 yrs that is disappointing.
15-18 mil / yr would have been more appropriate.
Relatively speaking not the worst but not necessarily a good/friendly contract either.

I mean the dude had a career earning of 31.6m, now he just got 80m guaranteed. Of course he is ecstatic and pumped for the next season.

    Ummmmmm

Ariza is still gonna get 200 wide open 3-point shots.....unless we trade him. Anderson ain't gonna get Trevor's wide open 3-point shots. If anything, Ariza is more likely to get 300 wide open 3-point shots because of the presence of Anderson.

We're not done folks. There's bio way we can run MDA's system without a sharp shooting sf.

(Uthoff makes a lot of sense here folks.)

Get over the money....owner received large part of 42 billion television contract. He absolutely should be paid 20 million dollars!

I'd consider him genuine if he signed for 4/60 instead of 4/80.

Won't be that disappointing in a few years when the cap goes up to $110m. Moochie Norris would probably be making $13m a year in this league.

Well here's to hoping he has a better year than last. I agree we need to get another sharpshooting 3 but we also should keep Ariza. Guys like Mcdaniels, Brewer, do not fit the Rockets at all and need to be gone before the season starts.

This year Ryan Anderson's deal is worth 18.74 million or equivalent to 13.7 million by last seasons cap figures.

Next season the cap is estimated to go up to 107 million dollars. Next season Ryan Anderson is scheduled to make 19.8 million dollars which is equivalent to 12.9 million.

So would you have been willing to spend 13 million a season on Ryan Anderson last year under last seasons salary cap? I think the answer to that is an emphatic hell yes. Three seasons ago we were wanting to trade him when he had a 10 million dollars cap hit.

You know its not as if Trevor Ariza couldn't make a 3pt shot last season, he did hit 37% of his shots from the arc. Just saying.

I really don't know what everyone expected from this offseason. Rockets made out as well as they were likely to.

I'm the one who I said we should keep him. For D'antoni he needs to shoot the three closer to 40%, keep in mind he doesn't create shots for anyone and not himself so he needs to defend and shoot better when he gets the shot. He's certainly capable of shooting it better than he did last year.
