didn't he take a huge paycut to play for SA the other year? chasing those rings is getting expensive.
Word is that he is also setting himself up for some kind of NBA organization role post retirement. Be it coaching, GM'ing, whatever. And getting experience and networking in the SAS and GSW organizations probably helps him there. That said, he's flushed a crapton of money down the drain, that's for certain.

please only say it if you know it's true. i would be pretty excited if we signed him to an offer sheet. It feels like the Spurs would be hard pressed to match at this point, but not sure what their cap situation is.
