They won't be keeping all of them together unless they're either winning it all every year and they're all happy to go along for the ride in order to get the first 4 peat ever (doubtful)... or they define insanity by continuing to lose it all every year, and they still all try and try (and try) again. And while luxury tax payouts are presumed when you're trying to keep a contender together.... their owner has continued to spout off about how they're the "smartest guys in the room"... which would suggest they'd realize that as soon as a player signs that over-the-cap exorbitant deal, diminishing returns commence.

Why did I get the sense Harden will say things along the same line when he leaves? That he couldn't get easy shots and even under D'Antoni it was still only him out there to create shots.
Kevin Durant was 10 for 31, 1-8 on three pointers, with a 93 offensive rating (horrid) and a 111 defensive rating (horrid) in game 6 of the WCF. In their game 6 overtime series clinching loss to the Spurs in 13/14, the last time KD was in the playoffs, he was better, but not by much. 12-25, 2-8 on threes, 94 offensive rating, 105 defensive rating. Well... I guess his view is that its because Russ is messing up the offense. I guess. But if you've watched them enough over the years, it's really just the TMac problem down the stretch. He's better than TMac, obviously, with a better team, so has gone farther. But down the stretch of tight games you see him settle for jumper after jumper after jumper. Sure, it's not wide open shots, or wide open drives to the rim, which he'll get more of in Golden State. But it's not like he was driving to the basket, setting strong picks, going after offensive rebounds with gusto, etc.

So, there's talk among the sports radio types about Lakers trading big assets (their recent high lotto picks) for Westbrook because "stars attract stars" and Westbrook would make the Lakers a destination team again. I wonder how attractive a partner Westbrook really is given this Durant report. It seems like he has the same issues attracting a partner as James Harden in terms of ball-dominance. Hopefully for Houston this year changes the reputation of Harden for the positive. If he gets Gordon and Anderson easy scoring opportunities and defy the (rather low) expectations going into the season and get this team to 50+ wins, I think it will make a big difference when the Rockets go shopping in 2017.

It's likely the same reason he didn't want to come to houston, just replace Westbrook with harden. Omg how can someone with 11 apg not move the ball??

Maybe. But Iverson also had high assist numbers, that doesn´t tell you a lot about the selfishness of a player.
Durant was frustrated with Westbrook? Did he see what Westbrook was doing to the Warriors(and especially Curry) in that series? It was Durant who didn't show up in Game 6 when the conference title was on the line.
yes, Durant shat the bed in crucial moments, so to speak, but so did Westbrook. Game 5 : 11/28 FG, 3/8 3PT, 7 TO Game 6 : 10/27 FG, 0/5 3PT, 5 TO Game 7 : 7/21 FG, 2/6 3PT, 3TO After game 4, they both chocked against the Warriors. Hard.
