Rosters are announced tonight at 6pm CT on ESPN.

Jose Altuve should maintain his lead at 2B over Robinson Cano.

Springer and Correa could easily be reserves.

Who do you think will be selected?

Altuve will start. Springer and Harris deserve spots while Correa is on the fringe due to the depth of the AL SS position.

    Altuve and Harris for sure.

Springer on the bubble. Him and Correa would be considered strongly as injury replacements.

Harris is second among all AL relievers in WAR, but my gut feeling is it doesn't matter and he won't get in the first go round.

Wasn't Springer like 15th in OF voting? How would he get in--last vote? He should be an all-star, especially if the game has WS implications [so dumb...]

    Really?

I think him becoming the closer (and being perfect in save situations) makes him a lock now.

Altuve will go, Harris should and probably will go.

It's a toss up with Correa. Him and Lindor have comparable offensive numbers. I think Lindor should get the nod given how awesome he is defensively. This is a rare time where national hype may work in our favor.

Also gonna be close with Springer. I do think Springer should go, I would have him as the 5th most deserving AL outfielder, and 3 of the guys ahead of him will get voted in, so he should be the 2nd reserve.

2 for sure. I think we will get 3 with Springer being left out.

Voting is just for the starters... the reserves are the more deserving/accurate selections, especially when the fans get it wrong.

I hope I'm wrong (not like I haven't been plenty of times) because he clearly deserves it.

Incidentally, another factor working against Correa is that Nunez (SS) will probably be the Twins representative. Nunez is having a nice season, so he will at least be a deserving lone representative for the team.

It was weird seeing Root commercials, as recent as 2 weeks ago, reminding fans to vote for Altuve and Correa, but no mention of Springer.

    Altuve, Springer, Harris

Correa depending on injuries, unfortunately. Too many teams need to be represented and too many good SS's (and he's not going to win the vote)

This may have been after the initial returns showed that there was no way Springer was going to be a factor in the vote whatsoever.

Correa still had an outside chance, while Altuve needed to maintain his lead.

Altuve, Harris, and Springer deserve to be on there.

I think our fanbase needs to prepare itself for only Altuve, however. I thought Harris was an absolute lock, but I've seen too many mock rosters from analysts leaving Harris off lately to feel comfortable. And Springer, for whatever reason, just isn't getting the national love that he should. His numbers, while very good, do not nearly tell the full story of his importance to this team.

Correa easily should make it as a reserve? What? More SS's are deserving. Only players that should make it as a reserve is Will Harris and George Springer.

    Highly agree.

Xander, Lindor, Machado all come to mind before Correa.

Not one ESPN guy named Harris to their roster. It is a deep reliever class and name recognition usually matters unless it is the lone rep.

Correa deserves it, but position depth might keep him out. Doesn't help a guy like Nunez might be added at SS just because of team representation requirements. I think he gets in though because he is Carlos Correa.

Springer also deserves it, but might get squeezed out by not rating defensive value and team representation concerns.

Edit: I listed Santana (their former SS who couldn't play defense, sort of like the new one), but meant Nunez.

Machado is leading 3B voting, so he shouldn't be an issue.

And, Nunez has actually had a nice offensive season:

    .315/.341/.479/.820

True, but that still leaves two better options at the position.

And they usually have 3 SS players (unless it is a shallow field) and had 5 in 2002.
