Curry and Klay would have to take a backseat. Durant at 25ppg Curry at 20ppg while averaging 8+ assist. Klay at 16-18 ppg Draymond at 12-14 ppg and focusing more on rebounding, passing, and defense They can make it work.
Durant had a great team that just needed to mesh a bit better... Definitely better than the Cavs if they didn't mess up.
9 years. 0 rings. He joined the team that gives him the best chance to get back to the finals and win a championship. He made the right choice.
Conspiracy theory time: Durant has joined the Warriors with the sole intention of breaking them up. They have already got rid of all these SUPER ROLE players to accomodate Durant. They will not win it all this season and sight first year chemistry issues and getting to know each other as reasons. Then Durant will opt out and sign elsewhere along with Westbrook. They will then wait for Harden in 2018 and the 3 of them will go onto form their own super team and ring multiple times.
QUESTION: Since the Mortatorium is not over . . . Can Dallas, OKC, and GSW negotiate a Sign and Trade for Durrant That way GSW can keep his bird rights? In fact I expect something like that to happen Dallas gets Barnes and Bogut GSW gets Durrant OKC gets All #1 picks and some other flotsam Rocket River
This probably cancels Durant and Curry from MVP conversations next year no matter what their record is or their stats are. So I guess Lebron and maybe Kawhi are MVP favorites at the moment. Maybe Westbrook and Harden as darkhorses.
Never know. That being said...Durant is expected to opt out next season anyways...there is a likelyhood that he could earn well over 35 million per year... Anyways...he decided for himself that being a btch is the best course for his career...Who are we to complain... Lebron absolved himself by winning one for the Land...Durant will forever be cursed by the many who supported him throughout his career. Some have suggested that He pull a DeAndre on the Warriors...while that wouldbe epic...I dont think that is the case in this situation.
just learned warriors got zaza. How good is he? I know he had a good start with dallas last year then fizzled.
