The right's desperate hope for WMD's is more palpable then a 17 year old virgin on his first date. And like the 17 year old, their desires may eventually be realized, but it won't come close to the fantasies.
I couldn't care less whether you were wrong or right on this, or any other issue. I just want what's best for our troops, our country, and the citizens of Iraq. I just get bothered with you coming in here and spouting off absolutes, watching people take your word as gospel, then when you are wrong (at least this time), say it was someone else's fault.
I don't think I like where this analogy is headed. But, since ejaculation has a couple of different meanings, I guess we can use the term in both cases.
Rm95: What exactly does my "spuoting off", "gospelizing", etc have to do with the welfare of our troops? Are you saying that I am endangering our troops? The only people here who are remotely endangering our troops here are the leftists of the left party who are rooting for Saddam so that they can see Bush defeated in 2004. And even they don't matter too much - this is just a message board, and no one who matters even cares. And as far as being wrong (at leasdt this time), I admitted my own fault. Did you not read my posts? rimrocker is no longer worth responding to.
Whoohoo I did it! I'd like to thank tree, the academy, all of you little people, my agent, my wife--we did it honey!--and of course, our President for making this all possible. Thanks so much! I love you all!
I would never go so far as to say someone was endangering our troops by merely having an opinion. Of course, what should I expect from someone who actually believes that there are people here who want to see our troops fail just so Bush wouldn't win re-election. I guess that's merely a glimpse into how your mind works. treeman is no longer worth responding to...
Hey, let's just all put each other on ignore, OK? None of these issues will ever get resolved here anyway. No one will even budge. It's the next best thing to quitting.
Ignore list is for the weak-minded... I guess I, unlike you, have an open mind and enjoy listening to other viewpoints.
Hey, let's just all put each other on ignore, OK? None of these issues will ever get resolved here anyway. No one will even budge. It's the next best thing to quitting. And BTW - if you don't think that there are people out there who care more about presidential politics than war, you obviously have never heard of Teddy Kennedy. Or glynch.
Give me a break. Treeman is one of the best posters here. He offers an inside look at our armed forces. You seem to not like him because he does not regurgitate what the media teaches you every day to believe. If you don't believe that there are people on this board who want to see bad things happen in Iraq to discredit the current administration, I think you're fooling yourself. It's no coincidence that the bad news is very very quick to be posted here and receives a lot of responses, yet the positive news stories coming out of Iraq (yes, they exist, you probably don't want to read them though) garner little attention.
Unless they said it outright, I'd never assume that Ted Kennedy, glynch, or any other person would want the U.S. troops to suffer just so Bush wouldn't win re-election. Again, a glimpse into how your mind works.
damn edit... Yeah, I'm just weak-minded. It couldn't be that I am mature enough to realize that having immature arguments with anonymous morons on the internet is counterproductuive or anything like that. I'm just weak-minded. Sure. It'sw not the "listening to other viewpoints" that bothers me. It's the "having obviously idiotic viewpoints shoved down my throat" that bothers me. Along with the personal attacks (which go both ways) and the brazen intellectual dishonesty I've seen here. That is what bothers me, and that is why I have an ignore. Unlike some of you guys, I do not have the time to sit here and argue every day all day. If I'm lucky, I have time to jump on here maybe twice a week nowadays. I do not have time to waste arguing with MacBeth about what I know I said, and about how dishonest either of us are. Those are wasted posts, and wasted minutes. I will be less likely to waste my time on them if I don't read them. So call it weak-minded if you want. I have a freakin life, unlike some people here, and I just don't feel it's worth it to waste my time on the MacBeths of the world. Just not worth it.
No Worries - Why do you keep mentioning that little proof positive? It's like me saying "Anthrax". You know, in reference to the anthrax attacks that I was dead wrong about? Incidentally, you're never going to live up to your end of the bet, are you? I take it that's a no.
Damn, you made me snort the coke I was drinking. You are one funny man. BTW to be the first admit it would mean that Rocketman95 have have had no need to remind you. Centrifuge!!!
Oh Christ. Rm95 - unless they said it outright? You mean, unless Teddy said "I care more about unseating Bush than winning this war", you would not believe that that could be a motive of his? I'm also guessing that you bought his recent attack on the president about the war being cooked up in Texas and all that garbage - merely because he said it outright? I'd say that's a glimpse into how your mind works. I'm the weak-minded one? Please. At least I don't let Teddy Kennedy spoon-feed me a pile of bulls*it every day.
I've never put anyone on ignore and I'm not starting now, but this stuff is so tired. Ted Kennedy, glynch and others (including me) care so much about presidential politics BECAUSE of bogus wars like this one. You insinuate that our view of US foreign policy is tainted by our hatred of Bush. You have it backwards. We want Bush to lose (and some of us do hate him - I do like crazy) precisely because of his ****ed up policies. I already hated him for various other dangerous policies, but my hate turned to downright loathing when he lied to the American people to justify an unnecessary war resulting in the unnecessary loss of American lives.
Yes, I'm the weak-minded one because I don't believe that people want troops to lose their lives just so they can win an election. Maybe that is naive or weak-minded, but I'd much rather go through life thinking the best of people than thinking the worst.
No Worries: I see that you are not going to honor the bet and leave. The centrifuge proves that you were incorrect on the bet, and you have obviously lost it. Ah well, I didn't think you'd live up to it. As someone once told me, "No Worries is a sneaky worm". Integrity is not one of your strong points.
RM95- If you believe Kennedy, then that is exactly what you believe of Bush - that he would waste soldiers' lives to win an election. Why the double standard? Democrats can do no wrong, but there's a conspiracy behind every Republican? Sure. I'm the weak-minded one. (you see, this kind of tit-tat garbage can go on all day; this is exactly why I have an ignore list)
