Harden Gordon Gentile Anderson Capela No way Beverley starts on a Mike Dantoni coached team. Hell Beverley might not beat out Goudelock for minutes. Dmo, Beasley, Ariza,
People need to prepare themselves. Capela is going to average some crazy awesome rebound and block numbers next year. Capela next year at a minimum: 12 Pts 12 boards 3 blocks He will be a serviceable athletic hi octane running big. That's why Capela will start. We need his glass cleaning and his shot erasing.
Ok. Nobody said he was some star guard, that's not the issue here. It's about what fits and what makes sense for the balance of a team. Just bc Gordon doesn't start doesn't mean he won't see plenty of minutes with harden
I hope Eric Gordon stays healthy and plays starting PG. PG Eric Gordon SG James Harden SF Ariza PF Ryan Anderson C. Capela
Hoping: James Harden Eric Bledsoe Harrison Barnes Aaron Gordon Nerlens Noel This lineup is long, strong, fast and can rebound, rim protect, get steals, switch D, shoot 3s, get to basket Realistically? James Harden Eric Gordon Ryan Anderson Clint Capela - need young legs and rim protection next to Flying Ryan Raphiael Putney - more length, rebounding, rim protection and successful in high paced Viper system, unlike Ariza Bench: Lance Stephenson/Andrew Goudelock Josh Smith/Chinanu Onuaku Michael Beasley/Montrezl Harrell Corey Brewer/KJ McDaniels Pat Beverley/Gary Payton II *Ariza, D-mo and Dekker likely gone (Bev and Capela could be as well, depending on trade return_elite big)
Yikes. Unless we upgrade at the position Bev will start. He is our Raja Bell. MDA might not emphasis defense as much as other coaches but he still values it.
Put your best five out on the court and lets go to battle. There is not enough talent in the starting lineup to warrant a player like Gordon to come off the bench. The Rockets are not the Thunder which had KD/Westbrook/Ibaka starting with Harden off the bench. Or the Spurs which has Leonard/Parker/Aldridge/Duncan/Green starting with Ginobili off the bench. Or the Clippers which has Paul/Griffin/Jordan/Redick starting with Crawford off the bench. Or the Warriors which now has KD/Curry/Green/Thompson starting with Iguodola coming off the bench. It's the Rockets were talking about. A (Bev/Ariza/Capela/Anderson/Harden) starting lineup? Trust me...The Rockets would be down by 20 before they even get a chance to bring Gordon in.
8 man rotation for a true run and gun system, in its first year?? LOL, no way. Starting 5 will have no legs by mid season. Need a deeper rotation until Rockets acclimate physically as well as mentally.
Beverly,GP II, Curry Harden, Gordon, Decker Anderson, Ariza, Beasley, Brewer Motie, Harrell, Onuaku Capel, Zhou 15 players.Y Unless Morey makes some changes!
injury prone year. hardens body finally breaks down after doing every fkn thing on offense cole/ mini mamba brewer/ kj ariza/ kj beasley/ harrel capela /rookie
Which is precisely why Gordon is coming off the bench to balance out the roster lol. Teams don't always field out their best 5 guys starting based on name alone. Ü typically don't just throw out your best 5 players without taking a look at fit and versatility first when maintaining a balance. Ü put guys in positions to do what they do best not force things. This is where it seems you have trouble understanding. Like I said before Gordon and Beasley are both guys that give the rockets a definite scoring punch off the bench. It's an possible advantage that they will likely use throughout the year assuming a healthy roster
