Difference being this GSW has 4 all stars very much in their prime with room for upward growth.

That super team you mentioned had some washed up players similar to the super team Rockets were trying to create with Barkley, Quitten etc.

Or the Howard / Nash/ Kobe / Gasol super team with Nash and Kobe and to an extent Gasol past their prime

Nothing can be done. SOMEONE will take Bogut. Owners still want revenue and getting to the playoffs does that. Hell, I'd take Bogut if the price was right.

I am officially done watching the NBA.

To say the NBA has jumped the shark is the understatement of the year.

KD just made the dumbest decision he could possible make, in my opinion. If KD doesn't win a title with the Warriors, he'll be the biggest choke artist ever. If he wins a title with them, he rode coattails. Either way, he has destroyed his legacy.

    Purely about his interests.

Why have a team in OKC when you own the team in South Oklahoma?

Why not bring over Bogut when you have all this capsapce from striking out in free agency?

Some people fail to understand context. Not only are the Warriors in their prime at the top of their games but they just came off of winning the most games in history and you add the second best player in the league to a team like that. GSW choked last season away they likely would have won this year without Durant anyway, this is just overkill. It basically destroys one of the only teams that had a chance to stop GSW and make the NBA competitive.

It's a really shocking move. You have a guy who was on a contender and whose team just got a really great player without giving up much and was positioned well to make a finals run...leave that for what appears to be a guaranteed ring.

Durant-Curry-Klay-Greene is arguably the best 4 players ever assembled on a basketball team. Showtime Lakers, Kobe Lakers, Bulls, Celtics, Miami, Spurs - none of those great teams had 4 superstars on them. They might be the greatest team on paper in NBA history. I mean they just added an MVP type player to a team that won 73 games.

I don't think ball sharing will be a problem with these guys. They are going to be very good. And I am not sure they will lose many games. They may break their own record if healthy but they may not try given what happened last year.

I can't see them losing in the playoffs.

Have you seen Stephen's dribbling practices? The league is thinking of implementing two.

The fact that there is no loyalty or team-player animosity anymore, unlike the 1980's. All of these guys hang out with each other in the offseason, smoking their expensive cigars and seeping $500 bottle champagne.

Winning one for the team or the city is not really as important as winning one "for myself", LBJ the exception this year.

If Harden does not like the direction the Rockets are going, he will bolt. In fact, he may have some thoughts about that already, inspired by his goof friend KD.

Look, I like Harden, and I believe him to be one of the few true stars in this league, but I like my Rockets more, so we must expect anything to be possible.

Pretty much, it's a no win situation for him in the long run.

Meanwhile LeBron gets "Best Ever?" for winning a title in Cleveland, Durant won't get that. If they lose? Oh if they lose, the humiliation will come simultaneously from 29 other fanbases.

I don't wish injuries upon players, but after today I hope one of the Warriors 4 gets a season-ending injury. Preferably by Beverley.

    A few thoughts:

    1) DO NOT compare this to LeBron's "Decision". He had no help on those Cavs teams. Mo Williams was their 2nd best player. Plus he was leaving for a Miami team that was 4 years removed from their previous(and only) title and had been completly rebuilt aside from Wade and Haslem. And while Wade was a former Finals MVP and champion, Bosh hadn't won jack squat in Toronto despite his All-Star talent. Durant is bolting for a team that's averaged 70 wins over the last 2 seasons, won one title, and came within a game of a 2nd title. And he's leaving a team that has a superstar in Westbrook, a terrific supporting cast and coaching staff, and was within a game of reaching the NBA Finals last year.

    2) The Warriors will miss Andrew Bogut(and possibly Ezeli if they can't hold onto him). Everyone focuses on the Green suspension in Game 5, but the real turning point in the Finals was Bogut's injury. They were never the same after that without him. Curry shot horribly in Game 7 and he deserves heat for that, but does anyone really think he would've struggled that badly had Bogut been around to set those offensive lineman picks he'd grown accustomed to?

    3) The Warriors will instantly become the most hated team in the NBA and Durant the most hated player. Sure, people in the Bay Area and casual fans of the league will obsess over the team, but every other organization has to be livid right now. And I have a feeling that aside from next season(assuming the owners don't change it), we will never see a spike in the salary cap like we just witnessed ever again. That way teams like the Warriors coming off of 73 wins a near title won't have the ability to pull off what they just did.

    4) Unless Durant helps the Warriors win 2 or more in a row, any championships he wins will be tainted. I'd almost hold Mitch Richmond's ring he picked up with the 2002 Lakers as their 12th man in higher regard.
