well we can sleep easier knowing that even if we had run our organization well and made moves to make ourselves the best team in the nba, then apparently our star will still go bandwagon in golden state.

This is the way I view it. Although if we had been good last season would Durant have joined us?

Yes, this could blow up in their face. There has to be a lot of sacrifice. It's easy for Green, Klay, Curry, and Durant to say that now...but I imagine the Media is going to instantly turn on the Warriors.

Just watch. Whenever a super team forms this always happens. The Media does what it can to make a circus out of it. They did it with the Heat and the Howard/Nash Lakers. They will have to be mentally tougher than ever before and play like a complete team and put any idea of individual greatness behind them.

If there is ever a point where Durant is battling Curry for MVP then this could all blow up.

I think it's hard to assume either way. It's clear why Durant wouldn't pick Houston now. He wants to win a ring at all costs. If Lawson had worked out and if Dwight ever played like an elite player like he was supposed to be Durant would probably be playing for us right now.

The only way this situation appeals to Westbrook next year is if Morey can work cap magic and tell Westbrook he has room fro 2 max contracts and oh yeah, you'll get to be on a team to take down the Warriors.

With Cp3, Blake, and Westbrook up for FA next year...well things will get interesting. I'm guessing another superteam is going to form around Blake's or Westbrook's decision and the way to build a superteam is to actually have an elite player on the team.

Harden has to have a MVP caliber season again. No ifs or buts about that.

Going on a tagent here, but if we get crazy offers for Harden, the Rockets must consider them all before hanging up the phone.

Unlike OKC, we can not allow Harden to bolt out without getting some compensation. Losing Harden for nothing is a real possibility.

Rarely do these go as planned, I remember the last super team with:

    Shaq
    Kobe
    G. Payton
    K. Malone

They were not all that good.....I would not be surprised if Durant doesn't make them worse as a group.

They are sacrificing a lot of D for more O - we shall see.

all the win now teams are a joke now. Only rebuilding teams have some kind of interest to watch.

People keep mentioning this lakers team but Payton and Malone were already washed up and not in their prime like the current Warriors.

The way he strongly leaned in and hit that fadeaway before Fisher hit his. Nah.

I would have agreed prior to signing Anderson & EGO. Now, I think you just try to make a couple more improvements and see if you can't at least compete at a high level with the remaining 28 teams.

On another note, how do you prevent a move like this from happening? Obviously the enormous cap increase was the primary culprit, but we've seen this before, and if you really want parity in the league you can't allow moves like this.

Durant already more hated than Lebron ever was - at least Lebron went to a .500 team and had to actually build something within a lower salary cap.

I can def see Westbrick going to the Lakers due to his passion for fashion.

This almost guarantees trading WB. He will be gone next year anyways so might as well get something for him.
