Less than Brewer and Ariza... team friendly with a lot more reward IMO than risk.

Better than Ty Lawson, could be another Ty Lawson.

If your scouting report is true, and it seems harsh, then he is as good as the role the coaching staff uses him in. Up to MD.

An ok shooter who contributes in other aspects wouldn't help the team because he would've signed for more than 11.3M...an amount which is like 5M last year. We actually have a lot of guys who are expected to contribute "in a lot ways" guys like Ariza, Beverly, Brewer, KJ Mcdaniels all these people have really funky shots what we need are amazing scorers beside them not another "do-it-all" guy who would go 2-10 in a playoff game when closely guarded.

Also a guy who gives you great shooting numbers works best as a ball stopper, because you want him shooting the ball instead of passing it to somebody who isn't as good at scoring. A guy who is a great shooter won't hamper your offense because merely by being there he takes the pressure off of other guys so they can work their magic, the only problem is you have guys who aren't really good scorers but pad their stats by burning through possessions like WB, AI, Melo, Gay etc but from all indications Gordon is an extremely efficient scorer he managed to score 53.8% TS considering he only got like 5 attempts a game and only played 15 mins per game.

If he can stay healthy I think Gordon will be a great steal and high value contract in the same way Ariza and Beasley are.

The way the market was drying up, Morey had to roll the dice and Gordon is not a bad roll. He may lose but Morey's seat is pretty hot right now and he knows it.

I'm not too encouraged after reading NOLA fans' comments about Gordon. They really hated the guy...

We need shooters and we got one. We lacked a back up SG, we got one. We lacked a guy who can create off the dribble, we got one. What's there to cry about?

Nothing to cry about but injuries make me nervous. Hopefully harden doing the bulk of the work and the rockets maybe being a decent team next year will give these guys either less opportunity to injure themselves or be more likely to fight through injuries lol.

They should hast him he did not want to be there. We was traded there from the Clippers. ( In a trade he did not force)

He signed a offer sheet with Phoenix and asked them not to match but they did anyway.

The Rockets are the first team he actually choose to be on.

Gordon's injury history has rendered him a one-dimensional player - a very good shooter, and nothing else. I watched a lot of Pelican games last two seasons, and Gordon clearly had no explosiveness going to the basket. I would cringe every time he drove into the paint. He's also a sub-par defender. But hey, at least he can shoot.

But isn't that kind of what we need on this team? Harden is one of the best in the league at creating open 3's, but we've been relying on people like Corey Brewer to knock them down. Now we've got someone who can actually hit shots reliably.

Exactly... People miss this fact and they're a perennial loser... All he's played for are losers... Now he gets to play for perennial playoff team.

    He'll be motivated.

Love how much pressure he puts on Curry to play defense. Rockets need more players who will move on offense if playing D is no longer a priority.

Damn, when the Warriors were still humble..fun times, I actually liked their organisation and team once. Anyhow, Gordon has kind of an arm extension going on, like Barbosa in a way.

His ball-handling skills count for something?

We knew when Pringles arrived what direction things were going. We knew the system we bought into. Regardless of my feelings about that system, it will work better with the right players than with the wrong ones.

Eric and Ryan are the right type of players, but IMO, the wrong players specifically in that I dont think they will be on the court enough.

Ironclad physical specimens with the same game as these guys are unavailable. So, lesser players that have a good injury free history would have been better? Hard to say. It a gamble for sure with any player. A risky gamble where two are concerned.

I voted against this deal, but it all rides on how healthy these guys are.

It really has nothing to do with Harden.... It is the rest of the team... There isn't much to be excited about at all. Couple that with Boston being in the East and Horford loving the NE.

Had the Rockets won 58 games and made the Western Conference Finals this season, the Rockets likely would have had a sit down with Durant and been a completely different situation.

Without Harden the Rockets last year would have been lucky to win 25 games.
