What? He regressed to 35% from three the last two years? How horrible. But there is light at the end of this horrendously dark tunnel. Anderson is actually trending up the last two years. A measly 34% two years ago to a mediocre 36% a year later. Well on his way to your standard percentage. What is that by the way? 50%? 60? This is a clear case of pessimistic goggle vision. Beverly shooting better than Anderson is an indication of good shooting by Bev and NOT Anderson's "deteriorating" shot.
What makes you think that the one making the decisions is Morey? LMAO so this is our new standard? You just listed two of the 10 worst contracts of this summer.
Not the standard but it is the reality as we speak. Next off season we will be adding to that 10 as well.
Totally not. True statement. If it said "shouldn't" it'd be perfect. Men actually worry about other men's 'bread' all the time. It's a natural form of comparing one's manhood. I agree with the statement that one man shouldn't worry about another man's bread though. Such a pointless worry some have.
Honestly, I would been happier if Morey had done what the Pelicans did, by going after Soloman Hill and E'Twaun Moore.
For the people who think the Ryan Anderson contract was a bad one. You may have an argument, but a few things to consider. In todays game, Anderson is likely our center at least most of the time. No question our defense will struggle, but we at least have some fire power coming back. This helps James Harden get to the rim easier and is a team that now can stay on the court as is at the end of games. In addition to all the on court basketball reasons every once in a while you just need to pay someone to fill a need (b-ball). Anderson is a good shooting PF/C and Houston is a bad shooting team. Golden State likely does not pay RA this much. The other indirect benefit is in the perception that now the Rockets franchise is more than just analytics. Players will look at these 2 contracts and think finally they are really starting to pay guys and are not just waiting for contract bargains and that will attract more free agents in the future.
If Ryan Anderson is our Center then I will give up. I will stop watching until MDA gets fired. Because he will very soon if that happened.
I wish we were stopping there, Arno-ed. It looks like a lovely city and I would enjoy meeting you, but the ship apparently stops in the Netherlands only in Amsterdam (our loss!) on the 8th, I think, where we will leave our family members we are traveling with and then meet with my significant other's Dutch relatives. Sorry! We hope to return in a couple of years, so perhaps we can arrange something then. -
Ryan Anderson has never been a center, and he will not be a center in Houston. Period. Maybe in spot minutes in particularly small ball lineups. But I expect 90+ percent of his minutes to come at the 4 with the occasional minute or two at SF.
do people even understand what is going on? harden will be well paid in his next contract. we couldn't pay harden that much when we got him, even if we wanted to
Ü actually think these guys are getting salty over it when in reality they know they're going to get well paid when their time comes respectively. They fully understand the nature of the business. It's only the casual outsiders that like to think it's for some reason bothering them
We actually have 2 guys now that can make a shot. Injury history scares the hell out of me, but we are better today than we were a month ago.
One thing that bugs me about Anderson is he seems like a guy who stops the ball. Like once he gets it he's shooting.
