Not upset about these two signings, Gordon and Anderson, Anderson's was a lot, Gordon seems like a good deal, especially with the new cap.
Remember Kevin Martin used to be injury-prone before the Rockets signed him also. I'm sure they've analyzed the injury history and spreadsheeted the likelihood of a recurrence.
Great shooter and we didn't pay too much, but it's 4 years and a lot of injury history and we're not gonna be contending so i would have rather looked to the future instead.
The price is not bad. The length is bad considering his health. How the hell is this team going to defend? I know we weren't going to be an elite defense with Pringles anyway, but this is forming up to be a league-worst defense candidate.
Rotation: Beverley, ??? Harden, Gordon, KJ Ariza, Brewer, Dekker Anderson, DMo, Beasley, Harrell Capela, ??? With $8-10 million left to spend, Rockets need a backup, PG and C, and Gentile wants to come over. Brewer and either Dekker or KJ will definitely get traded before the season.
I'm fine with the signing and the per year number, but four years for a guy who alternates between 40-50 games per season is really frightening. If he can stay relatively healthy and give you 60 games a season with 15+ points and elite level 3-point shooting, then this will be a great deal. But if he's missing half the season every other year and the injuries begin to take their tole on his production, this has the potential to be a very poor signing. Only time will tell, though...
We need ezeli now. Not the SPLASH everyone wanted but Anderson Gordon and Ezeli at least would keep that 5th-8th playoff seed range going or Les
