We officially have a huge logjam in AAA. Kemp, White, Tucker, Moran, Bregman, and Hernandez are all ready or very close to ready to graduate to the MLB. Bregman's talent and versatility means we can probably call him up whenever we want, but the rest of the guys are stuck in line waiting for an injury. Have to think some kind of trade will be made, but most of these guys don't have a ton of value right now. I could see us trading some of these guys for prospects who are younger, or maybe a catching prospect who would be ready to help us next year. Either that or as blockbuster filler. I would actually put Hernandez as the 2nd best prospect of that group right now. His K/BB rate, and average have me very interested that he may have taken a huge step as a prospect.
If he finds his power stroke with the new found on base/hit-tool he was showing in AA, he becomes a very intriguing guy. Otherwise, he could still profile as a Chris Young-type , which isn't awful. If nothing else, I would love for him to take a backup OF spot next year (depending on what we do with everyone not named George Springer) -- he can play any spot, has clear value as a pinch runner, and can potentially be used as a pinch hitter with pop. That's a pretty useful profile on a big league club.
Don't know when I've been more excited about one of our prospects. Certainly excited about Reed, but this kid has taken it up a notch.
Correa is a guy that comes every 20 years. Now, Bregman should be ready for next year, that means Valbuena is gone? Maybe not, Bregman could play in the OF, or Valbuena move to 1b and Reed DH. Interesting off season for the Astros. The one that may not be in our future is Moran.
Can't speak for him, but excitement has a cumulative effect for me. Astros have Correa, Springer, and Altuve. If Bregman hits, the Astros are in a much better position than when Correa came up long term.

Bregman has certainly been more impressive (IMO) starting his career in the minors (1.5 yrs in), however he's also older then Correa. I'm also not saying that by being "more excited" that this is implying Bregman will be a better player at the Major league level.
Correa's 2nd full season: 9 HR 86 RBI .320 BA .405 OB .872 OPS Bregman halfway through his 2nd season: 15 HR 51 RBI .307 BA .425 OB 1.007 OPS What gets me even more excited is they're BOTH Astros!!
In this post you don't say anything, i went to see other post, and yes you mentioned he is older, but did not say the ages. Is not the same to be 1 year older than 4.
