Detroit wasn't signing D-Mo after they rescinded the trade.

    Or he could start here?

I mean really, this is the year of Dmo. Rockets are striking out on all the big man talent and now it looks like he'll likely start for us at C/PF depending on what MDA does with Capela.

Not only that he's sure to get more money.

Oh and yeah. His best year was when Dwight went out (And The Rockets as well) we basically finished 2nd in the west because of Harden and Dmo...

People seriously forget how good this guy was that year.

DMo never was a top 3 player like Dwight. But maybe DMo will get a max.

Not sure about that. The back issue is going to scare a lot of teams off.

True. But Dwight was never a top 3 player here for the Rockets. He was hardly an All-star player for the Rockets.

I guess what I'm saying is, I don't really buy into the theory that the Rockets got worse losing Dwight this year if it means DMo gets a more featured role like the 2015-16 season.

At the same time, unless Horford has a change of mind and comes here and puts Dmo back on the bench, this is his year.

He either breaks out this year or never does. With MDA coaching and lets assume he'll be somewhat successful...someone else besides Harden is going to put up big all-star caliber worthy numbers. I'm going to guess it will be either DMO or Beasley.

were you reading DMo interviews, comments for last 4years? He doesnt care about making the biggest money or playing the longest, you know what he cares about is team spirit and winning ball.

Though 2p meeting with DMo probably doesnt mean ****.

4 year / 50 million is a bargain for DMo in this current market.

It would not destroy anything - the players would be happy for him because they know they will be getting more too.

People focus too much around here on the money - who cares what the market bares, it is not our money.

There are not any others better than him that are considering the Rockets right now.

Horford is it.....we are not a destination location we are a VALUE - show we are smarter than others type of club....

Instead of a winning or contending one.

The longer Dmo goes without getting a big offer from another team , the more likely I think it is that we match . If guys like Solomon hill and Jon leuer are getting 10+ mil a year , Dmo absolutely could be going out and getting a contract for that amount of higher right now . His upside is just that much higher that even if injury concerns are high that he is worth the 10+ . He knows this , the rockets know this ... So why hasn't it been reported that he has an offer yet ?

Is Dmo being a great team player right now and not listening to other teams to give the rockets time to figure out FA and trades ? Or is he really that big of an injury risk that people aren't coming after him hard ?

I know free agency just started but it is moving very fast . The market is becoming fleshed out . The rockets really need to if not make moves then set things in motion this weekend. If we are going to try and flip bev/Ariza/brew the earlier the better . Now the price may not be right as of today and I understand that we can't just trade people on a dime , it takes two .

I think that the rockets moves will come in a flurry when they come . Hopefully at least , because as much as I am all for letting young guys and rookies play .... Dekker , KJ , montrezl , And GP isn't that exciting of a young group . Brew I just don't know what to do with him . The rockets are in a tough position, they have to get the Dmo call right .

My point was that Dwight had proved it much more so than DMo. I agree that the Roxs are better w/o Dwight.

It's all up to his back which still isn't 100% apparently. I had a bigger stomach for giving DMo a fat two, team option contract when I thought he might be fully recovered this summer.

First the UFA go, then the RFA will get offers, those are trickier though as teams want to structure things to make it painful for their current club to match, but with so much cap space, that may not work either, so they will focus on trying to get clubs to overpay - thus where DMo is at the moment.

People get all googly eyed over the numbers - but that is the new going rate - DMo is going to get paid - even Tjones will get a decent contract somewhere.

This is the year to be a Free Agent for sure, this one and next.

People are really banking on D-Mo's health? I like the guy, really, a healthy D-Mo is a good player. Still I'd like us to get a starter like Millsap or whoever and not have to bank on that health for our starting line-up.

Highly doubt dmo makes it through a complete season just like that. And I don't see him averaging more than 20-25 mins this year

If he stays in Houston he will be closer to 28-32mpg and starting all year long.
