i'll take my chances sucking and getting a potential star than signing one in free agency. look at what the cavs did to get lebron, and kyrie.
So dmo will be paid more than james harden to ride the bench for ryan anderson...... hopefully this doesnt happen
Lebron James is a once in a generation talent, and they had to get the No. 1 pick in the lottery to get them. Then they lost him, but were lucky enough to get him back probably, in part, to the fact that they got lucky enough AGAIN to draft Irving at No. 1. There's a TON of luck that went into the success of that Cavs team. And they still had their superstar player leave at one point. Both of our strategies would involve some luck, but at least my strategy starts with the Rockets already possessing a top 10 player. With yours, Houston could be in the lottery for the next decade and not get lucky enough to draft a player of Harden's caliber. Look at Sacramento, Minnesota, etc.
He's going to get way more than that. If Houston offered Bazemore $72 million for four years, as has been reported, then Anderson could be offered $80 million+ over four years.
Minny looks pretty good right now and they had to go through a couple bad GMs and make a it of mistakes to get where they are now. They were simply a bad organization until the last few years. Sac town may be the worst organization in the NBA, so not really the best comparison. Bottom line is that teams like Milwaukee and Utah and even Minny are back in the relevancy conversation because they rebuilt through the draft. All of the top franchises period are where they are because at some point they built through the draft. There is really no disputing the fact that you need to at least in part build through the draft to be successful. And it's not a coincidence that we have completely neglected the draft in favor of trades and free agency over Morey's tenure, and we are where we are.
For me, more than 12M its a bade sign but how knows the market its so crazy I think in 2 or 3 years a lot of teams will be in salary problems

Maybe that was why I felt like something died inside my soul just a minute ago. They must have made the offer.
