Bazemore isn't injury prone and completely one way and especially a BIG who can't D or rebound.
If Rhyno at least was more healthy I would be more fine with that.
If Rhyno wasn't a pf but a sf who couldn't D at all, I would be more fine with that.

If at least we had more win now pieces and were seriously contending I would reluctantly be more fine with that.
But 20+ per he's going to get, to be a no D chucker who gets often injured at this team, no. Is Rhyan Anderson your second wheel?

You may be kicking the can to a top 5 pick with the roster as it currently is.

That might not be so bad. I would have rather watched us win 15 games last year and ended up with Simmons/Ingram than that 41 win malaise that left us with nothing.

Honestly, I think Kyle wiltjer is the exact same player as Ryan Anderson. Just have more experience.

we were never in title contention...Anderson wont push us over the hump...But at some point the Rockets must consider whether they are lottery bound...and really risk losing James Harden in about a couple of years...

I agree 100 percent. I know this board is going to flame me for this but if we strikeout this free agency wouldn't it be better to trade Harden and totally rebuild?

I think a lot of people would be on board with this at some point, the problem is that Le$ just doesn't want to do that.

This isn't a particularly strong free agent class. I think it makes more sense to do what they can with shrewd, reasonable signings and trades to improve the roster as much as possible. Then go all out in a much stronger free agency class a year from now.

If they deal Harden and start rebuilding through the draft, at best they're 3-5 years from being a playoff team again. But I'd put they're odds of contending through a rebuild about as good as their odds of signing a star a year from now.

Smh every time we're faced with adversity people wants to rebuild and start all over. We will never witness a winning dynasty with that type of mind frame.

How about coaching up the young players that we have already. Hey a few of them might just pan out if given a chance.

Damn - hadn't seen reasonable thinking on here in so long that I almost forgot what it looked like. Solid points.

I really hope we don't overpay him if we do sign him. Otherwise, you could've got a much similar player like Teletovic for the contract he got.

As for Ryan Anderson - he doesn't move the needle for me but I can see the appeal(especially for Dantoni). I would prefer Marvin Williams who isn't as good a shooter but does more overall. Hard to hide Harden when you also have to hide Anderson too and I think NBA offenses and defenses are much smarter at recognizing and taking advantage of one way players.

Yeah I prefer Marvin too, Ryan for 10 minutes off the bench is fine and for 10-15 million max!
