If nobody is coming, then forget Anderson too i prefer to suck this year, get a high pick a get assets with the cap space
Think of it this way Dirk averaged like 18 and 6 this year on 44/36/89, so did Anderson(not exactly but extremely close)! Both are tall white men, both play god awful defense, what's NOT to love? So if we sign Anderson, it's kind of like we're getting a 37 year old Dirk the perfect fit!! LEGOOOOO ANDERSON!!! Seriously though, I wouldn't him mind at this point. He's one the best free agents left on the market that fits well on the Rockets, if Horford signs elsewhere we don't have many options left.
It would have been nice to have RA when we had Dwight. They seemed to have played well together in ORL.
Ryan Anderson should shoot >40% on 3s if he's on the Rockets next season, he is a ridiculously good shooter who hasn't played on teams with good spacing. The biggest concern I have with him is obviously the lack of defense/rebounding and the fact that he really can't play small forward or center, but as an outside shooter he is elite.
yall wanted Bazemore for 70 mill. His 9 points a night. Ryan Anderson can score. That was a huge flaw in our system last year. Harden n Beasley were the only pure scorers.
Harden can't keep playing 1 on 5 every night. Not everyone in your lineup needs to be a lockdown defender, Anderson is a good fit and will provide an important role for the Rockets offense. Offense was just a big a problem as defense last year, and his spacing will be huge. With the contracts players are getting, Anderson would be a good get and is one of best free agents left. Les isn't going to let Morey tank, so I think we can forget that, anyways.
Gotta remember that we have to spend enough money this offseason to reach the cap floor. I wonder if we could offer RA something like 20-22 mil on a 1 year deal (or 2 year with the second as a team option) just to suck up that cap space. If we whiff on Horford, I could see Morey pulling something like this. Might have to bump it up to 25+ mil or so just to get RA interested enough though. Rumor is that Brooklyn is interested and, as bad as we might look right now, they're worse. I could see them throwing him 4/$80mil and not looking back. I agree with the hate about Horford and RA together in the front court... They aren't really a fit. Both of them are best playing away from the basket on offense. Capela fits and I suppose RA could go back to coming off the bench like he did in New Orleans for a long time. On a second unit, this guy is a killer. I really just hope we don't panic and offer him 20+mil long term...
Wonder what we would do with DMo if this happens. That would be wayyy to much money tied up in the frontcourt.
