This would be a huge upgrade for us but I doubt they want to trade him

    Not sure who they move

I actually think the "wait and ponder" approach bodes better for Houston. The Rockets do not have a sexy pitch to offer like some of the other teams that were likely vying for Horford. But if he really has time to think about it, the Rockets have a lot to offer him from a fit standpoint. And, unless OKC cut a ton of cap space in the next 72 hours, I don't think the other teams he met with that could feasibly sign him (including Boston and Washington) are heads and shoulder better than the Rockets on paper.

I actually feel more confident about the potential of a Horford signing after that Tweet than I have through this entire process.

this would be interesting...milsap is so versatile defensively he could virtually play the 3 for them.

Even so, if he under-performs he expires soon.

If he plays well we have his bird rights. Its a win, win.

ATL needs to shed Splitter and Thabo to retain Al Horford. Morey, you clever dog, about to get the next Rockets legacy of bigs candidate for pennies!

This is strange. If he's available Rockets should go for it.

He's one year older than horford

Isn't Millsap a year older than Horford?

Isn't Horford the short one for his position?

Getting slower? He just posted the most WS of his entire career last season, his best rebounding numbers and his third highest scoring average. If anything, he seems to be getting better with age.

If this is true, I think Milsap is the main piece being moved. No way ATL keeps all three bigs. Unless they are ok with running Millsap at the 3. That would make Korver the trade bait. Either way, Rockets should target whoever ATL decides to part ways with: Millsap, Korver, or Horford. Looking like one of the formers. Ariza and Bev and even Brewer would fit nicely with their game. Especially the value those guys bring with the bargain contracts in today's market.

Woj said 4 suitors? There they are. + Hawks

[rQUOTEr]What happens next for Horford remains to be seen.

He is receiving serious interest from the Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards, Boston Celtics and Oklahoma City Thunder, with the latter suitor in a far more complicated spot than the rest.

As the Thunder have tried to convince former MVP Kevin Durant to return, they have – as ESPN first reported – explored trades in which they could create enough salary cap space to also sign Horford.

if i'm atlanta, i'd rather have millsap than horford, so i feel like their plan would be to keep all 3. im guessing they'd get rid of splitter and some other contract.

if they rather have horford than millsap (which is a mistake IMO), i would gladly take him on this team. he's a beast. unfortunately, i feel like the celtics have more trade appeal. watch the cavs get millsap in a 3 team trade where love goes to the celtics though...

Why? Millsap was one of the best PF in the East last year. He's short but rebounds well and has range out to the 3. Disagree with there DD.
