Yeah but it's negative and thus worthy of being accepted as fact. That's pretty much the MO lately right?
Wait...according to what? The author? Lol pathetic. Biased here but does Horford think he has even a shot at getting out of the East being the first option on a Boston team? It seems like if all things were equal Houston would be the more attractive spot because you get to play with an elite player. Boston just doesn't have that.
I was honestly really hopeful before I learned how big of a Dominican population Boston has. 100,000 is quite a big community, and Horford said it was one of his bigger factors in deciding where to go.. 48 win team, top 5 defense, one of the best coaches/front office in the league, still stocked with lottery picks via BKN, and room for another max player. I think it's a no brainer honestly.
Yup. If it is between Boston and Houston, Boston has crappy weather and MUCH higher taxes. Houston has better weather, lower taxes and a All-Start Caliber teammate. Boston has IT and a bunch of average to above average players. Atlanta's 5th year is the real threat here.
I know Celtics had a ****load of draft picks but I keep hearing about them being an up and coming team that have a chance at being elite in a couple years and I'm just confused. It's like everyone is riding the Bill Simmons bandwagon of pumping up his team every chance he gets. "Celtics beat the Warriors...I can see them being in a challenge to them in the Finals in a couple years". Calm down Bill.
The rockets were .500 . They were only "awful" relative to your expectations. We lost our second best player from 14-15 to injury and added back in a paint clogging center who sets objectively awful screens. The media can be negative and yet objective at the same time . Look harden is the best player on the team and therefore holds the most responsiblilty , but statistically he didn't play much worse . His shot was off early on in the season . His defense slipped a notch . He also had less playmakers around him , Lawson flopped. The rest of the "story" PURE CONJECTURE. Harden doesn't work hard , harden parties too much , harden is a chemistry killer , harden doesn't share the ball , etc... As for the people questioning that he won't play better this year , the departure of Dwight is gonna create a lot of space for him to attack ( think when he had Asik in 2012-2013) . 13-14 was a weird year , I thought watching the games that our offense was much less explosive but it was actually a bit better statistically due to free throws and our defense generating better looks.
For as concerned as everybody is by the fact that we haven't heard much about the Rockets meeting with Horford, has anyone else noticed that things have been really quiet about Horford's meeting with Boston? Is he in the meeting now? Has he left the meeting?
Bazemore -> Hawks...no cap room to sign Horford + Howard?! Come on down, Al!!! Gotta be between us and Boston now!

This my friends is why there is so much hype on Boston. Stevens is in the mold of Popovich, Phi Jackson, all time greats.. The guy is extremely smart. They won 48 games with IT and a bunch of nobodies, they had a top 5 defense without a legit rim protector. You want to talk about maximizing talent, this is it, Rockets last year were the opposite.
True, but we aren't even getting many sit-downs. At least the last two offseasons we had meeting and garnered interest. This year we might as well have the plague
