A Boshing can't happen unless he stays in Atlanta and that is incredibly unlikely given the deal they gave Howard. No one other than Atlanta can throw a bigger bag of cash at him than the Rockets and that's what happened with Bosh.

If horford would rather go to houston, then it doesn't matter what Boston has to offer.

Yes. Essentially, ATL has the money to sign Dwight outright. HOU has the money to sign Horford outright. The only way the two teams would engage in a sign-and-trade involving the two would be if Houston wanted to offer a fifth year to Horford (and I don't know if that's on the table).

Bazemore? We can just about sign him outright, too (although we might need to stretch-provision Brewer to give us the needed wiggle room). But there could be a trade to get him, and a separate trade for a starting point guard.

    Could be.

Another way to look at this is, does Horford believe in Dwight Howard?

Horford seems to believe in Durant. Im guessing we can hope Durant will talk Harden up some.

Do people not realize we're most likely screwed if we strike out this summer? Harden will leave next year if Morey can't put a winning team together.

No, he couldn't. That's not how the CBA works anymore.

The money will essentially be the same with the Rockets allowing him to keep more of it due to being in a tax friendly state with other tax friendly teams in the same division.

The key would pretty much have to be something else or there's nothing to consider.

And the key to Boston is does he believe in their 6 rookies, 3 second years, and Isaiah All-star.

    Look at it this way-

    A. Harden was voted MVP by THE PLAYERS two years ago. While Harden's rep probably took some of a hit this season with the players, its likely that a majority of the hit was media related. I'm positive that the players fraternity around the league still has great respect for the guy.
    B. Horford's best guard he played with in his career was???.... Jeff Teague? This give Horford the opportunity to put himself next to a superstar guard to see how this kind of pressure on that guard can open up his game for him.
    C. He's a pick and pop big in a D'Antoni offense. Look at spots he will be in with this offense. He's going to be key to what they do if they get him.
    D. The Rockets can sell a Capela pairing due to the fact that the Dwight/Capela front line was one of the best units the Rockets rolled out last year. He doesn't necessarily have to be the 5 all the time, but offensively when teams go small, he will benefit at the 5.

I think there are huge reasons to believe that Horford will view Houston/Harden as a great place to flourish as an all-star big who has never really played in a superstar type of situation. He was essentially a super role player with Atlanta. Here he gets to get paid as well as seeing if he can be a legit superstar pairing.

Oh, ok. So it should come down to team preference. I have a feeling Morey's plan is to have this team look pretty different than it does today. Hard to sign on promises, though.
