You know, the Rox not jumping the gun on any of these FA so far has got me thinking they're EXTRA confident in MDA's new system...which scares the **** outta me
Well, the one thing the Conley contract tells me is the power of the 5th year and means we have a shot at keeping Harden in 2 years.
I wonder if Llull is going to start having second thoughts once he finds out an above average guard is going to be making 30m per.
I think a likely scenario for the Rockets is probably end up with Bazemore and kick the can to next off season.
No @#$%. not gonna be hard to get euro players to come over anymore. NBA just became the global supersport

At least we have MDA, who runs an offense that prospective FA's should like. This was smart to hire MDA. He and James will make a great recruiting team.
Nothing will happen that will take us over the top... we are f'd for years to come. Owner is about money and entertainment solely.
Sorry, but he's right. And he wasn't implying Ty had been playing drunk, just that he had been a drunk when he was playing well. I guarantee you chemistry would have been better if Ty and James had still been party buddies. But quitting drinking changes a person. That change is often a positive one and an alcoholic should always choose sobriety but it changes a person. I speak as a recovering alcoholic. The difference in every aspect of my life has been profound. And my social life has stopped in its tracks owing to quitting drinking AND serious, chronic illness. If you ever watched Friends you'll know what I mean when I say that I responded to quitting like "Fun Bobby" did and that's the best possible explanation for Lawson's drop-off last year. He may get past it and he may not. Regardless the Rockets couldn't afford to wait to find out. There is zero mystery about what happened to Lawson's game. He quit drinking. Period.
I love D-Mo for his potential and the flashes we saw of it over a season ago. I'm in favor of keeping him. But he's yet to have a single good and healthy season. I surely do want D-Mo to sign at a discount as Detroit threw him back at us only months ago because he failed his physical, bearing in mind he's yet to prove anything. But it will be up to the other teams and what they offer him as to how much he gets paid and by whom.
