I think Parsons went to Memphis just to screw Dallas out of having a chance at Mike Conley. Parsons has done a number on that city.
It's cleaner in Memphis. It's a much, it's just like a nicer, cleaner city than Dallas. In downtown Dallas there's not much to do. It's just businesses and it's just kind of dirty. - Chandler Portions
I wonder why Memphis over Portland? Portland seems like an improving team while Memphis is aging rapidly. Also lol at the Mavs, that whole situation was hilarious
might not be. the cap increases, but a cap increase basically results in extra cap room for the existing free agents of that offseason. and this cap increase is bigger than next year's cap increase so it's possible there will be less cap room available next offseason. the free agent class might also be larger and have more top tier players.
memphis is the better team. parsons is already 28 and it doesn't really make much sense for him to join a still developing team with frontcourt issues. He would still have to play alongside not 1 but 2 ball dominant guards in CJ/DL.
Justin Timberlake promised Parson for cameos on his future music videos, which Parson values more than the Max contract, according to sauces.

Yeah, maybe Brewer can teach Parsons a thing or two about being on all fours while tossing and sucking on JBB...
